I was a busy bee today unpacking lots of new goodies. These are just a few of them. We also had a restock of the scented tube candles, spell candles and spell candle holders. Our Satya incense has also been topped up.

Molten Gems
Molten Gems is a beautiful range of fused glass jewellery, kiln-fired in Penicuik by Rachel Lawrence.
Rachel uses a wide range of different types and colours of fusing glass in her jewellery. The glass is typically fired to about 800 oC, the higher the temperature, the more rounded the finished piece.
The dichroic (sparkly) glass changes colour according to the angle it is seen from. It is fired with a top layer of clear glass, which enhances the vibrance and sparkle of the dichroic layer.
Some Molten Gems pieces are adorned with decal images, such as wildlife and celtic symbols. These images, made from powdered glass, are permanently fired on to the glass at about 700oC.
Rachel takes commissions and can create matching pieces or different colours on request.
