For the new players maybe a place to find your boules you want and for the longer established players maybe a chance to get rid oh the boules in the cupboard you don’t use anymore.
**NEW VENTURE ALERT**
We are Emma and Mattie. We both have a passion for petanque! We are also both coaches in Scotland and enjoy helping people to enhance their talent for the game and fulfil their potential 🙂 Through this we have noticed that a lot of people find petanque and feel instantly drawn to it for its community, accessibility and low cost.
However, this means that people often rush into buying their first set of boule and later discover that they are too big/small, too heavy or the wrong design for their preference, hand size and or strength. Then they have the issue of needing better fitting boule and the need to sell on the ones they already have or they lie dormant in your cupboard never to be seen again! 🥹
This is the inspiration behind our aptly named new business - Rusty Baws. We would like to offer up our services to help people find the right boule (type of boule, pattern, size and weight) for them and ideally early in their petanque journey!
We both have personal experience of the difference playing with the right boule can come with, and know how many of our petanque pals have boule sitting about that deserve to be loved by the right person!
We encourage you all to approach us with any boule you would like to consider selling to help us get this off the ground/terrain 😉
We will always try and pay a fair price for your boule but you are more than entitled to say no just be aware we are taking on the risk of being unable to sell them ourselves when we do buy!
Our promise when it comes to selling is that we will always endeavour to ensure that the boules we sell you will be tailored to your needs/desire. That's why our custom fitting service also can be bought as stand alone without any obligation to buy any of our boule. If we don't have the right fit for you in our inventory then we won't recommend you purchase from us, our integrity and growing the game in right way is most important to us🙂
Let's make petanque in Scotland as sustainable, affordable and accessible as we can 🌏🏴
We hope we will be able to help you out soon players old and new to the beautiful game!
Much love,
Em and Mattie

Congratulations to our Club President Scott Watson finishing a fantastic 3rd in the 2026 SPA Men’s Singles. A great achievement for him and our club, especially considering the high class field of 50 competitors he had to negotiate

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Girl Guides to our piste for an introduction to the wonderful game of pétanque.
Although the weather was a little dull, it certainly didn’t dampen the girls’ enthusiasm or enjoyment! There was plenty of laughter, friendly competition, and new skills learned along the way. By all accounts, a great time was had by everyone involved.
We’re always delighted to welcome individuals, groups, clubs, and organisations who would like to give pétanque a try. Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply curious about the sport, we’d love to see you on the piste!
Get in touch and come and have a go!
