Following on from yesterday’s post, here’s our third lot up the gallop 🏇

As mentioned, some are now beginning to step up into faster work, while the younger horses are still taking things a little steadier as they learn their job and strengthen up 👍💪

Saturday 3rd Lot 🐎

We’ve been lucky with the weather lately, so what have we been up to? 🤔☀️

Fitness is coming along nicely, with plenty of variety throughout the week. Some days we’re doing two canters up the gallop, while on others we head up the hill, we have now introduced some faster work too, getting the horses paired up and working together.

We’ve also started schooling, with both the hurdlers and chasers getting plenty of experience around the back ring where we can put up tyres, barrels and hurdles on the all-weather surface, giving them a good variety of obstacles to practise over before heading up to the grass schooling ground, which will be the next step 👍

Lots of good progress being made! 🏇💪

23-year-old retired racehorse Noble Alan, with an entire field of grass at his disposal…and yet choosing to eat the grass over the fence 🙈

23 years of experience and he still hasn’t learned that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side … or maybe it is 🤔🤣

What a character 👏

🥇🏆 WINNER 🏆🥇

BALLYNOE BOY & DANNY MCMENAMIN won the El Tel's 61 Racecourse's & Done Handicap Hurdle in the colours of Fine Claret Racing 🔵🔴

Another exceptional ride by Danny, Bally’s jumping wasn’t always perfect, but they dug deep when it mattered most and battled well to win by just over 1 length 👏💪

Congratulations to all connections 🎊👍

Well done Team Richards 🔥🏆🥇

One roll? Absolutely NOT enough!

Even after 5 rolls, this boy still wasn’t finished… he had to throw a few shapes afterwards too! 🤣

Nells Son out here showing everyone how it’s done… and you wouldn’t believe he is 11 years old 🏇🙈🙊
