PENRITH RUFC MINIS & YOUTH ROUND-UP 🤍💚🏉

What a weekend of rugby! 🙌🏽 Festival weekend brought clubs together from across the county, celebrating grassroots rugby and showcasing some of Cumbria’s brightest young talent.

🏉 U7s & U8s – Winters Park
We were delighted to host 11 clubs, 31 teams & hundreds of young players for a fantastic morning of rugby. The pitches were full of smiles, teamwork, enthusiasm and fun, everything minis rugby is all about! 👏🏼

🏉 U9s – Keswick
Our U9s attended their first festival since moving into contact rugby & thoroughly enjoyed putting their new skills into practice. A brilliant experience and another big step forward for the squad.

🏉 U10s – Creighton
Travelling to Creighton alongside teams from Wigton, Keswick, Aspatria and Whitehaven, our U10s enjoyed another excellent morning of rugby and teamwork while proudly representing Penrith. 💚🤍

🏉 U11s – Whitehaven
A trip west saw our U11s take on teams from across Cumbria, gaining valuable experience and enjoying another great day of festival rugby. 👏🏼

🏉 U12s – Winters Park
Our U12s hosted their county festival, welcoming Castle Eden, Carlisle, Creighton, Aspatria, Cockermouth, Whitehaven and Morpeth. It was fantastic to introduce Morpeth to Cumbrian festival rugby, with plenty of competitive, hard-fought games throughout the day. 💚🤍

🏆 U14s – County Cup
The U14s got their County Cup campaign off to the perfect start with an impressive 52-0 victory over Wigton. A superb team performance & a brilliant way to begin their cup journey.

🏉 Colts – The Next Generation
Another proud day for the club saw five Colts step up to represent the 2nd XV against Ambleside, joined by Colts coach Joe Brown on the pitch.
📸 L-R: Jacob Gardner, Aaron Brown, Joe Brown, Joe Dixon, Harry Bibby and Theo Winstanley.

Their contributions helped secure an outstanding 95-0 victory. Seeing young players make the transition into senior rugby is what community rugby is all about, and we are incredibly proud of their progress.

Finally, a huge thank you to all the coaches, volunteers, referees, club staff, parents and supporters who make weekends like this possible. 💚🤍
