You thought our Comber Show winnings were exciting… I think I might be able to better that…
Mr Ralph our seasonal September baby has arrived!

We are very much in the newborn bubble and I hope you can understand that our weekly menus will be on pause for now.
We are and will still be doing private parties of all sorts so please do get in touch if you fancy having a party in the Pantry.

Ralph will have his hair net on and peeling onions in no time! 😂

Oh boy do we have an update for you!
This year the Ballytrim crew came home with not one, not two but three trophies!!

Our beautiful chocolate cherry tomatoes on the vine won best exhibit in the tomato category 🍅

We then won the second cup by getting the most amount of points across all the vegetable categories which was great fun!

However Miss Edith my niece stole the show!
Her flower arrangement in a jug was awarded first prize so she had to go up on stage and receive her cup!
Training them young!!

Thank you to everyone who helped to organise and run the Comber Horticulture Show! It is a day not to be missed in our calendar AND the afternoon tea is always worth going for!

Today’s the day!
It’s the annual Comber Horticultural show!

We were out early this morning gathering our bounty and now we wait! The judging is happening as we speak and we are on the edges of our seats!
This year we entered everything from flower posies to a trio of courgettes so let’s see how we get on….

Christmas is always such a special time in the Pantry. With the wood burner always roaring and the smell of frangipane mince pies filling the air a workshop at the Pantry will guarantee to put you in the festive mood!

What we have going on-

Sustainable Christmas crafts
Monday 30th November
6.00pm - 8.30pm
£50 a ticket

Ballytrim Christmas wreath making
Saturday 5th December
&
Sunday 6th December - sold out
10.30am - 1.30pm
£80 a ticket

A festive Ballytrim Pantry styled four course brunch!
Saturday 12th December
11.00am - 1.00pm
£45 a ticket

Summer in a jar!

The BGP (Bloody Garden Produce!) has meant our fruit trees and plants are laden with fruit so we have been busy jarring up the Summer flavours so that we can enjoy them all year around!
These jars will be available to purchase in the cooler months when we have our festive workshops - more on them soon!

The Pantry is closed for food orders this week but we are hosting the Black box HYROX annual Summer Party on Saturday which is a guaranteed fun morning of squats, socialising and plenty of cake!

Whilst I’m away the lovely David Maxwell paid us a visit at Ballytrim a few weeks ago and the recording is now live on BBC sounds - go and have a listen - just promise to turn it down when I start talking!!!
