“How to” Doesn’t Work — Here’s Why
We live in a world obsessed with “how to.”
How to be confident.
How to stop overthinking.
How to get the job, fix the relationship, silence the inner critic.
But here’s the truth: “How to” doesn’t work.
If it did, we’d all feel worthy. We’d be enough.
We wouldn’t be stuck in cycles of self-sabotage, burnout, or imposter syndrome.
As Brene Brown reminds us, the problem isn’t that we don’t know what to do — it’s that we don’t believe we’re worthy of doing it. We chase strategies and surface-level solutions, hoping they’ll fill the deeper void. But without addressing the emotional roots — shame, fear, trauma, conditioning — we stay stuck.
And this shows up everywhere.
In your career.
In your relationships.
In the way you speak to yourself when no one’s listening.
Self-sabotage isn’t laziness. It’s protection.
It’s your nervous system saying, “I don’t feel safe succeeding.”
It’s your inner child whispering, “I’m not good enough to be seen.”
This is why deep work matters.
Not another checklist. Not another productivity hack.
But real, soul-level healing.
The kind that rewires your beliefs, restores your self-trust, and helps you show up as the version of you that’s been waiting to lead.
If you’re ready to stop Googling “how to” and start becoming the person who no longer needs it — I’m here for that journey.
With compassion and truth,

Have a look at the image attached.
Unless you know the trick, you have read 'Paris in the Spring'.
If yes, look again.
There is a second 'the' in that sentence.
Our brains skip right over it, filling in what we expect to see.
This is a perfect example of what psychologists call top-down processing—where your brain interprets the world not just through your eyes, but through your beliefs, past experiences, and internal narratives.
Now pause for a moment.
Have you ever told yourself:
• “I’ll never get that promotion,” even though you were the runner-up?
• “I’m not qualified enough,” despite having more experience than others in the room?
• “I’m not ready,” even when the opportunity is knocking?
These are not facts. These are stories shaped by your top-down filters. And just like that extra “the,” they’re easy to miss—but they change everything.
So you see, it's not you that self-sabotages your successes, it is your brain.
However, it is your responsibility to do something about it if you are serious about growing as a person and professionally.

As a hypnotherapist who works with ambitious, brilliant women like you, I see this pattern often.
You’re not broken. You’re not failing. You’re simply operating with outdated scripts that no longer serve you.
But here’s the good news: you can rewrite them.
Through therapeutic coaching, we’ll explore the beliefs that shape your self-image, challenge the narratives that hold you back, and build a new identity rooted in truth, confidence, and possibility.
If this resonates, I invite you to take the first step. Let’s talk. Let’s uncover the “extra the” in your story—and help you see yourself clearly, powerfully, and compassionately.
