More isn't always better
I've definitely been guilty of thinking that if something is good, then more of it must be better
More weight 🏋♂️
More reps 😰
More sessions ⏰️
More effort 🥵
But years of training have taught me something slightly different
Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop
Sometimes it's doing less
Sometimes it's leaving a few reps in the tank so you can come back and do it again tomorrow
Sometimes it's listening to your body
And sometimes the most important part of getting stronger is simply being consistent enough to keep going
I'm still learning that one myself
Better is betterer
And that's a pretty good rule for training — and probably life too
What's something you've learned you don't need to do "more" of?
If you're trying to find a way of training that actually fits around your life, let's have a chat

I have a favourite type of person in the gym
It's not the strongest
It's not the person lifting the biggest weight
It's not even the person who looks the most impressive
It's the person quietly getting on with it
They walk in
They do their training
They get a little bit better
Then they leave
No shouting
No need for attention
No need for anyone to know what they lifted
Just quietly becoming stronger
I've always admired that
And I think it's probably one of the reasons I coach the way I do
You don't need to destroy yourself
You don't need to train seven days a week
And you certainly don't need to prove anything to anyone
You just need to keep showing up
Quietly getting strong as f**k
That's enough
If that's more your style too, let's have a chat.

The gym isn't the destination
It never has been
For me...
The gym is simply where we practise
We practise becoming the person who says yes to a walk without worrying about the hills
Who carries everything in from the car
Who gets down on the floor without wondering how they'll get back up
Who feels confident in their own body
That's why I train
Not because I love exercise.
Because I love what exercise allows me to do
Strength gives you options
Capability gives you freedom

If your body could do one thing more easily six months from now...
What would it be?

Contrary to popular belief...
I don't enjoy seeing people exhausted
I don't enjoy making people ache
And I definitely don't enjoy hearing someone say they can't walk the next day!
What I do enjoy...
..is watching confidence grow
Seeing someone realise they're stronger than they thought
Hearing them casually mention that everyday life has become easier
Those moments mean far more than any number on a barbell
Because strength has never been the destination.
Capability is
💬 Question
What's something you've done recently that six months ago would've felt difficult?
It doesn't have to be fitness
Sometimes the smallest wins are the biggest
👇 I'd love to hear it
If you've been thinking about becoming stronger...
Not because you want to impress anyone
But because you want life to feel easier...

Coaching changed me more than I expected
When I first became a coach...
I thought my job was to teach exercises
I couldn't have been more wrong
Now I realise my job is much simpler
To help people discover what they're capable of
Sometimes that's lifting something they never thought they could
Sometimes it's getting up off the floor more easily
Sometimes it's simply having the confidence to say:
"I think I can do this"
Those moments are the ones I remember
Not personal bests
Not numbers
People discovering they're capable of more than they believed yesterday
That's why I still love coaching
💬 Question
Has someone ever believed in you...
before you believed in yourself?
👇
I'd genuinely love to read these
They won't all be about fitness
And that's exactly the point

Good things take time
Every morning I spend around ten minutes making a cup of coffee
Not because I have to
Because I enjoy slowing down and doing it properly
It got me thinking...
That's exactly how I approach coaching
There's no magic workout
No six-week miracle
No shortcut
Just showing up
Paying attention to the small details
Repeating good habits
Week after week
Those little things eventually become something much bigger.
Whether it's coffee...
or becoming stronger...
the process matters
And strangely enough...
that's often where the enjoyment is too
💬 Question
What's one small ritual in your day that you genuinely enjoy?
👇 I'd love to hear it
Capability

Strength is the tool. Capability is the outcome
Most people don't come to me because they want a heavier squat
They come because they want life to feel easier
To have more energy 🔋
To move with confidence 😁
To keep saying "yes" to the things they enjoy 🤩
That's why we train
Not for the gym
For life outside it

The biggest changes often go unnoticed
Nobody celebrates carrying the shopping
Or getting out of a chair
Or walking upstairs
Because those things are supposed to feel normal
Until they don't
One of my favourite parts of coaching is when a client says something like...
"I didn't even realise that had become easier"
That's capability
Not flashy
Not dramatic
Just quietly making everyday life easier
💬 Capability Moment
One of my clients recently said:
"I carried everything from the car in one trip... and didn't even think about it until I got inside"
That's progress
If you've noticed something that's become easier recently...
I'd genuinely love to hear it
👇 What's one thing your body does now that it couldn't do six months ago?
29/07/2026
You're not supposed to be ready
If you already had the strength...
the confidence...
or the routine...
you probably wouldn't need a coach
Every client I've ever worked with started somewhere
Some were nervous
Some hadn't exercised in years
Some simply wanted to feel stronger again
None of them needed to be "fit enough"
They just needed somewhere to begin
If you've been watching my posts thinking...
"I really should do something..."
This is your invitation
