Finally we repurposed some old tree planting stakes as uprights and the left-over trimmings as weavers and Coupar Angus Pride of Place members did a fantastic job of weaving these beautiful panels in front of the tunnel entrance.

Our next 2 sessions entailed using the recently sharpened tools to trim back the willow tunnel and willow pollards in Larghan Park. This has to be done when the sap is down in the willow ie winter time. We carefully graded and stacked the willow at the side of the park. We then used some of it to fill in gaps in the willow tunnel.

The Low Carbon Classroom has been working away with POP in Larghan Park over the last 4 weeks. The first session involved taking the trusty market garden trailer out to the park with the mobile tool resharpening unit. Secateurs and poppers were duly cleaned, filed and sharpened ready for action.

We are starting our women's bike maintenance classes again. Another chance to do our puncture repair class with Sue, one of our resident bike mechanics. A friendly and relaxed atmosphere with the chance for a blether and a cup of tea or coffee. A great way to start the cycling year! contact Jane for more details at

One of the first, of hopefully many, of our family fun days at the Cycle Hub. An inclusive session aimed at supporting local families to get their children onto bikes. We were teaching children to ride bikes and gain skills and confidence. And of course we held the Coupar Angus Christmas pudding relay race. Possibly bagged by the participant on the trike. Thank you to our amazing volunteer cycle ride leaders. Merry Christmas from the Coupar Angus Cycling Hub and The Coupar Angus Low Carbon Classroom

On Friday the 10th of December the The Coupar Angus Low Carbon Classroom and Forward Coupar Angus Ltd repurposed a woven willow wedding arch and converted it into Santa's Grotto for the evening. A smashing event for the local children who turned up to experience the Christmas lights switch on and enjoy the festivities.
