If you’re looking for something active and outdoors for your children over the holidays then our camps are the perfect choice! Tennis camps are for all children aged 5-14yrs and are suitable for all abilities. Plenty of tennis, team games and loads of Easter fun! SUNDAY SEASON END SOCIAL

This coming Sunday 21 September starting at 10am we are going to run some social tennis.
This will take the form of a fun competition where all adults and juniors who can hit a yellow ball are welcome! Irrespective of whether you may be a beginner or a more experienced player there will be fun games where no one will feel out of place.

Tea coffee soft drinks, crisps, cakes etc will be provided.

While anyone is welcome simply to turn up, it would be useful to have in advance an indication of numbers.

Believe it or not, it’s the start of the new tennis season and we have local and regional matches starting at the end of the month.

We always welcome new members and a return of our existing members at this time of year. Fingers crossed we can have some decent weather soon and can get loads of fun (and some serious) tennis.

Get your tennis year started with coaching from Ollie.

A good night for Darnhall 2nd team at Dunkeld last night. We won 6-2 but the after match cake was the top prize. 🍰🎾

It was a really nice evening yesterday for some social tennis and Pickleball.

Unfortunately my attempt at photography wasn’t up to the standard of both sports but everyone was having fun and choosing to play one or the other.

If you fancy either sport, let us know as Court 1 is lined out for use anytime for Pickleball and like the 3 tennis courts can be booked by anyone on the https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/DarnhallLTC website.

We will continue to run taster session on a Tuesday night and if there is demand I can run sessions on a Monday as well.

Pickleball is fun and competitive but less physically demanding than tennis, so naturally it’s enjoyed by anyone but the often by people with less mobility than tennis players, eg older.

- Less complex than tennis so barrier to participation is lower, much easier to get to a stage of having fun on the court.
- Lighter ball, smaller court, more 'dinking' so a less taxing sport on the body and therefore easier for players with difficulty moving to play.
- All the general social and physical benefits of sport still apply here (eg mental health, physical fitness)
