RPGS Fishing Section

"I would like to bring to the attention of all RPGS members (particularly those who have joined the club recently) that the fishing section meets monthly, May to September for a day's fishing at one of the local trout fisheries.

The first outing on 21st May is to the lower Glendevon Reservoir (Frandy Fishery), the lease of which has recently been taken on by Gleneagles Hotel who stock the water regularly, and a productive day can be more or less guaranteed. In June we shall be at Lake of Menteith and subsequent venues will be confirmed nearer the time.

Towards the end of the season there is normally a sea fishing expedition for those who enjoy fishing for mackerel.

We are normally accompanied by a few past members and this year I have also been approached by a member of one of our affiliate clubs who has expressed a wish to join us.

If you wish to participate in one or all of these outings, and you are not already on my email circulation list (i.e were not notified of last year's events) then please let me know via the email address below and I shall add your name to the list. Member are notified a few weeks before each event such that numbers can be confirmed."
- John McFadzean

As a consequence of Data Protectio protocols, would those interested members please consult the Membership Directory for the email address and/or the mobile number for the Fishing Section Convenor, Mr John McFadzean, or contact Rachel at the Club.

RPGS: COCKTAILS WITH CRAIG 🥳
Friday 24th April @ 6pm

We cordially invite members and guests to join us in the Club Lounge on Friday 24th April, as we re-introduce that most civilized of drinks parties ‘The Cocktail Hour’.

Over the last five years, club member Craig Dennis has been perfecting his skills as a home bartender and has become quite the hit among his family and friends as a maker of decadent drinks for discerning palettes. As well as studying classical cocktail lore, Craig has also created a number of unique drinks, many of which have been themed to friends' birthdays.

Craig has a saying that two of his cocktails are never enough, but three are too many, so naturally for this RPGS event, he is serving three cocktails, all of which will feature Gin as the base spirit. Craig will introduce the drinks before leaving everyone to enjoy the rest of the hour.

The cost for the evening will be £30 which includes three full strength cocktails, Crisps, Nuts and olives.

We hope you’ll be able to leave your cars at home, but there will be a mocktail and soft drinks available on a per glass cost for those attending and unable to savour the cocktails.

Please Book in with Rachel at the club or add your name to the list on the notice board.🥳
