We have 2 boats, two highly experienced ghillies and two exceptional fishing huts, one at Meikleour House and one at Ferry cottage, and we can accommodate up to 8 rods a day - 2 on each boat and 4 on the bank. Our knowledgeable ghillies advise and assist your party where required and are happy to accommodate both skilled and unskilled anglers alike. Heavy overnight rain saw the river rise by almost 1’ during the course of the day but the clarity was good, even if the leaves in the water were a bit of a nuisance at times.

It was good to welcome John Bailey back and I’m happy to say he was successful with a 13lb’er from the House Pool.

Jim and Charlie Biss finished their trip to the Tay with a further two fish at 5lbs and 10lbs - both from the Cormorant Tree. This gave the two of them eight fish for their trip which they are delighted with.

The river is sitting at 3’ tonight, but all the tributaries are now dropping so we should be welcomed by a river in good order tomorrow.

After a good lift in the water yesterday, the water dropped back and cleared throughout the day giving our rods perfect autumn conditions today.

Mark o’Hagan had three fish at 4lbs, 9lbs and 14lbs.

Jim and Charlie Biss had a great day catching four fish at 8lbs, 10lbs, 19lbs and 22lbs and they also lost another four!

Ian was delighted to present Jim with a bottle of ch*****ne for catching our 100th salmon of the season.
