Southton Smallholding

Despite a brilliant open day, we still have some plants for sale. Still available include tomatoes (bitesize, sweet million, sunbaby, tumbling tom red and yellow, gartenperle, orange wellington, shirley and golden sunrise). Also still have courgettes, squash, chilli's, cabbages, kale, cauliflower, romenesco, lettuce. Please get in touch - Carol 07977806023.

The staff, volunteers and team members of Southton Smallholding would like to thank all who attended our Plant Sale and Open Day today.
Another record breaking success was achieved with £3274 taken in plant sales and a whopping £725 in teas and home baking.
Overall just under £4000

All proceeds will be used to continue the work done at Southton Smallholding.

Veg Box day at Southton, in the boxes today we have:
beetroot, spring cabbage, spinach, pak choi, radish, leeks, rhubarb, hens eggs, goose egg. What a treat for our customers! All grown on the Smallholding and from our own plants (and birds).
We have a space on our box scheme so if you are interested, please send us a message.

A momentous day today as we re-covered our polytunnel near the entrance to Southton Smallholding. Everyone played their part in this mamouth task and we were all delighted at the result. Now that the cover is safely on, we can concentrate on making new doors and finishing the end hoops. All ready for our annual PLANT SALE AND OPEN DAY ON 2nd MAY.

Polytunnels are the best for a rainy day. Planting in the overwintering brasicas with the Wednesday team.

The Southton Team are delighted now their new craft facility has been finished. Complete with bench seats/storage boxes and folding workbenches. Well done to Ron and Scott Duff for constructing this very useful resource.

Team member Scott and volunteer Ron show off the fabulous new folding workbench they have been making for our craft room. Scott has been assisting Ron and has been an excellent apprentice. Well done to you both, great job. 👍
