So it was Cambs League Cup today...

We took an early lead through an excellent goal from Elsie against higher division Swavesey Spartans FC and we were arguably the better team in the 1st half, however a flurry of goals from the opposition left us 3-1 behind in the second half. We did manage to get one back late on, a fantastic free kick from Isla 20 yards out, but not enough time to seek a third.

Again, the effort and hard work was very good and a win is coming!

Eilidh was awarded Player of the match for her solid efforts in defence and important interceptions at Key moments....Well done!

So this weekend we entertain Swavesey Spartans Girls in the 1st round of the U13's League Cup at Home with an early kick off time of 9am! 😬

Illnesses and injuries have struck the camp over the last week or so, but we intend to pull together, work hard and give it our best shot against the League A side!

Another super effort from the girls today!

Unfortunately we went down to a narrow 3-2 defeat but the girls, as always, put in a fantastic shift, worked hard on and off the ball, but didn't quite get us over the line today....

But a win is coming!!

Our debutant, Lola, deserves a mention today, absolutely fantastic between the sticks, very confident, vocal and assured with her ball collection, we are looking forward to seeing more of it! 😁

Player of the match went to Sienna. Really thriving down the wing, her pace and confidence on the ball is excellent and never give up attitude also got a her a well deserved goal as well 👏

4 of our Girls featured in this brilliant English Schools U14 Cup game on Thursday afternoon between Sawtry Village Academy and Hampton Gardens

Well done to Isla, Jess, Sienna and Bella 👏👏⚽⚽

So this weekend we entertain Peterborough Sports in a local derby game.

Always a good contest when we play our local rivals 😊

In addition, we welcome Lola to the team who will be making her debut in goal for us Saturday 🤩⚽

We had a challenging game against Milton Colts on Saturday, lots of paint taken off the woodwork by the girls who hit the post 5 times during the game!! Must be a league record so far! 😬

However we did manage to score 3 good team goals and stuck to our principals of playing 'pass and move' football.

Alas we ended up at the hands of a 5-3 defeat, but plenty of positives to take forward for training and upcoming fixtures

Player of the match was given to Jess who worked tirelessly all game and bagged a couple of goals as well for her efforts.

We travel to Milton Colts U13 Ladies tomorrow morning for our 2nd game of the season in League B of the Alan Boswell Cambridgeshire Girls and Women's Football League

Our girls will be looking to take their skills and drills learnt in training this week and display on the pitch!

Well the season is back underway in some sizzling heat today!

The girls worked hard today, the work rate was on point, but couldn't quite find the cutting edge today and went down to a 1-0 loss.

We re-group, address the finer details in training and we go again next Saturday.

Bella was our player of the match today. She only started playing football recently, but has shown the desire and attitude to become a competent player and has integrated into the team seemlessly.
