Langtoft United Valkyries Girls Football Club

A great first game of the season for our U13 Valkyries to start the season campaign off. Lovely to see the girls back playing in league format.

Our girls did amazing today in a tough match but most importantly the girls didn’t stop trying, remained positive and continued to try playing. Amazing show of character from them all today.

We had to adjust and players playing in different positions, our girls are a true credit to the club and parents with their attitude of playing wherever to get the job done! Love that! 👍🏻

Fantastic wonder goal from Eva, that’s been coming for a while now so we are so happy she got her well deserved goal.

Well done captain Andrianna today for leading us and trying her best to get the team going and get a goal.

Well done POTM Bethan for her amazing progression up front, she didn’t stop and was always positive. She throughly deserved that today.

A few awards to mention as it’s that time of month…

Fortress warrior for August going to Izzy for all her hard work at training, her progression at times into centre midfield in games and training and being a solid defence in all positions. Well done Izzy. That’s what this award is all about.

Langtoft legend going to Jesse for all the hard work she’s putting in training and matches.
She does all of this with a positive attitude and willingness to just help the team out. Well done Jesse.

Start of the season for the Under 9 girls this morning at home playing Stamford AFC Young Daniels. Excellent determination, teamwork and high pressing. Everybody showed great sportsmanship today. Kicking off our year with a win! Well done Langtoft 👍⚽️

With the season kicking off, the Valkyries U11s were out in force tonight during their usual training session but for something a little different.

The girls took on the challenge of a sponsored run to raise money for new kits with the support of family & friends.

It was a good challenge for the team who all worked hard to complete the distance with parents joining in for moral support.

Pre-run warmup was a goal shooting-fest and after the run we closed things off with an impromptu match.

Well done Girls! Super excited to see you all playing in your new kits.

Langtoft United Valkyries Girls U9 have a vacancy for an assistant coach to join the team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed coach who wants to make a difference in Girls football.

Whether you have coaching experience or want to get involved we would love to hear from you.

Duties are assisting the current team manager/coach in training and matchdays.

All qualifications will be paid for by the club.

Preseason Match

Valkyries 3-2 Girls Utd blacks U12

Spectators (parents) were treated to a great game of football by 2 very good footballing sides.
Girls Utd took the lead early when one of their strikers burst down the right and hammered it in, 0-1, it stayed tight and tense until the 2nd half.
Molly Warner whipped in a nice high cross, curling to the back post where Flo was steaming in with a bullet header, goal Valkyries, 1-1.
It was all Langtoft, loads of pressure, couldn't score, then Girls Utd got a corner which flew straight into the net, somehow evading everyone, 1-2.
Again loads of pressure from Langtoft, all over them, Autumn picks the ball up and launches it the full length of the pitch with Zu running onto it with a volley over the keeper, what a goal, Valkyries, 2-2.
All Langtoft, pressing, loads of pressure, then it's a corner, Anni steps up and curls it right footed into the net, such a dangerous delivery, nobody could deal with it, 3-2.
The Valkyries didn't need to hang on they wanted more...final whistle, game over.

Valkyries U12 7-2 Netherton U12

Netherton started off like a steam train, going 2-0 up, fair play to them, they were up for it, then Isla smashed in a hatty, Flo, Zu, Ruby and Molly W did the rest, ended 7-2, fair play to the girls spirit and togetherness.

Another great pre season friendly for our U13 Valkyries today.

Some lovely football on show, tons of chances and great goals. What made them even special was the movement and passing leading upto the goals themselves.

Well done captain Lola today for a solid performance and some shots at goal from her today.

Well done to Elizah, Lacey and Ruby for their deserved goals. All working really hard today.

All of our girls had a tremendous match from defence right through to up front moving players around and keeping the ball up high.

Well done POTM Jesse today. What a great game Jesse had playing in LB again moving the ball down the line . Skilling players and solid in defence she looked a natural full back today.
