Newborough Cricket Club - Bulls

This Friday sees our end of season junior presentation and we look forward to seeing you all

Just a few things for the evening

Unfortunately we wasn’t able to secure a food outlet so please feel free to bring a picnic or you are more than welcome to order food to the ground ..Ember and Dough in the village offer us 10% discount if you say you are part of NCC 😊 most places will deliver ..unfortunately as we are a licensed premises you are not able to bring your own drinks

The bar will be glass free ..it will hopefully be a busy evening and we just won’t have the manpower to get the glasses clean and not warm but please feel free to bring your own glass for the night 😊

We do have quite a lot of chairs now but again feel free to bring your own if you do move chairs onto the grass which you are more than welcome to do please could we ask that they are put back on the patio area at the end of evening as we have our last senior game on Saturday 😊

Please arrive by 6pm bar will be open from 5.30 so we can get the presentation underway by 6.30

Sunday saw a great day for Newborough juniors 🏏

Both the u11 and U13’s reached the Hunts Youth League Finals playing GodManchester in both

The morning saw a fantastic win for the U11’s becoming U11 Hunts champions an exceptional season being undefeated 🏏🏆

In the afternoon it wasn’t to be for our young U13 bulls unfortunately losing in the last ball of the game they played an amazing final but luck just wasn’t on their side
But each and everyone one of them should be extremely proud 🏏

Also in the afternoon our Sunday 2nd team went to Irthlingborough and another of our juniors 14 year old Noah Townsend made his first 50 in senior cricket 🏏

Newborough CC couldn’t be more proud of what our juniors are achieving and a massive thank you goes out to all our volunteers and volunteer coaches for making this happen

Well done everyone especially our Junior Bulls 🐂 🏆

And that’s a wrap ..for the first time in Newboroughs history this season we put together a ladies team our very own ‘Newborough Bullettes’ 💚🩷 and entered the Huntingdonshire Ladies softball league ..training every week matches hard work and a lot of fun ..and in our first season came 2nd in the league 🩷💚 thanks to all the ladies and girls that have taken part bruises and all and a huge thankyou to the captain Louise Eagles and our VC Vicki Whittingstall for all your hard work and patience and for taking us on it’s been amazing ..here’s to next season 🏏

So tonight sees the last game of a fantastic first season for the ladies Bullettes 🩷💚 tonight they take on Castor 6pm start at St Martin’s Road..bar and clubhouse open 🏏🍻

Just a reminder there is no junior training at Newborough this evening ..enjoy your bank holiday and we will see you next Friday 4th September for the last sessions before our Presentation on the 11th September 😊🏏

Unfortunately due to the weather we have just had to call training off Stack Haus is still with us so please come down for a take away 🍔
