Weekend Round-Up 🏏

A big Saturday win for the 1st XI! 💪
J. Stokes starred with an unbeaten 133 as Newborough posted 278/6 before bowling Ketton out for 139 🔥

Tough day for the 2nd XI, falling short against Royal Boston despite a great spell from C. Worley (4/12) and a hard fought half century from L.Hearn.💪🏼

But a strong bounce back on Sunday! 🙌
The 2nd XI defended 128 with C. Johnson (4/10) and K. Jones (3/18) leading the way to a well-earned win.

Another great week from our junior section ..u15’s 13’s and 11’s all winning their games this week ..it’s not all about the winning it’s learning from training and teamwork ..well deserved after all the hard work ..well done young bulls 🔥 keep at it

Stamford Cup Result 🏏

A strong all-round performance saw us beat a strong City CC side in the quarter-final of the Stamford Cup with a convincing win. 🔥
The bowlers set the tone early, dismissing the opposition for just 55, with the Mills brothers leading the attack impressively with some excellent fielding to back them up. 🎯
The chase was handled calmly and efficiently with Cooper (26) helping to seal our place in the Semi Final! 💪🏼

A strong Sunday for The Bulls 🐂💚 saw both sides pick up convincing wins across the Rutland leagues.

In Division 1, the 1st XI posted an imposing 256/4, powered by outstanding centuries from S. Jarvis (118) 💯 and S. Malton (101) 💯. The bowlers then backed it up in style, with C. Hercock (3/29) 🔥 and A. Greenwood (2/47) helping dismiss Ufford Park for 153, sealing a dominant victory 🏏✅

In Division 5, the 2nd XI continued the winning momentum with a solid all-round performance 💪. After restricting Ufford Park to 171/7, thanks to key spells from J. Lucas (2/21) 🎯 and N. Wilson (1/14), The Bulls chased down the target with composure, finishing on 174/6. J. Carlin led the way with an impressive 89 ⭐

So what went from a family fun day and inter club ladies has now gone to Newborough Ladies Bulls 💚🩷 competing in a ladies tournament and coming 3rd, playing league matches and training every week ..we couldn’t be more proud of what you’re achieving ..keep playing and most of all keep enjoying 🏏🩷💚 thankyou to all of you ladies for your commitment and to Louise Eagles for taking her passion into to head training and captain our wonderful bunch of Ladies Bulls
