Bringing the mechanics of excellence in Sport to those looking to reach their potential

23/06/2026

With temperatures set to rise this week, the welfare and wellbeing of our horses and ponies must remain our top priority.

Whether you're exercising at home, travelling to a show, or competing at an event, hot weather can place additional strain on our horses. Taking a few simple precautions can make a significant difference.

Please take a moment to read the guidance below from British Equestrian, covering hydration, travelling, exercising and cooling down in warmer conditions.

Every horse is different, and what is suitable for one may not be appropriate for another, so always use your judgement and seek veterinary advice if you have any concerns.

Good horsemanship starts with the basics - being clean, tidy & conscientious

πŸ’© The power of poo picking! It might not be glamorous, though it's one of the most effective ways to protect your horse’s health and it is backed by research.

πŸ“š Studies have shown that managing your grazing land by regular poo picking significantly reduces the number of infective parasite larvae on pasture which reduces the risk of infection and helps break the worm lifecycle before it can impact your horse.

🌱 Parasite control can start on the ground, literally! Consistency matters more than perfection. Small, regular efforts have a real impact on paddock hygiene.
