Northborough Indoor Bowls Club

Last night we had our last match of the season. We played at home to Stilton and won 9-1 points (52-16 shots).

In 2 weeks we have our Christmas fun night so hope all members can come along on 15th Dec.

Last night we won away to Market Deeping 8-0 points (51-37 shots) in the Annette Stubbings knockout competition.

We’ll find out who we play in the semi-finals when the draw is made in December.

Last night we had a home match against Helpston which we won 7-3 pts (35-27 shots).

Our next game is our first away match of the season at Werrington

Last night we lost away to North Luffenham 3-7 (22-36 pts).
It could have been far worse as we scored three points on the last end of the second game to force a draw, and five points at the end of the last game to overturn a three point deficit.

This week we had our first match of the 2025/26 season. We has a home match against Folksworth which we won 6-4 (31-19 points). I dom't know what happened in the tea break as we won both games before the break and then it went downhill!

Last night was the North Cambridgeshire Carpet Bowls presentation evening where members of the Northborough team collected 2 trophies.

Steve, Liz, Dave and Sharron Lonsdale were part of the team that won the North Cambridgeshire 2024/25 league. Steve and Conor Weeks and Bob and Ali Hudsell were also involved in this team but were unable to attend last nights presentation.

Steve and Liz Lonsdale were also part of the winning North Cambridgeshire triples team.

Last night we lost 2 - 8 (21 - 36) at home to N Luffenham. However, the two points were just enough for us to win the league, so congratulations everyone who played in the Northborough team this season. 👏

It's our last match of the season tonight and it will decide who wins the division 1 league this year. We are currently 8 points ahead of North Luffenham and that's who we are playing tonight at home.

Another great result last night, winning 10 - 0 (53 - 10) at home to Werrington.

Just one match to go this season next Monday against North Luffenham, which could be the decider for who wins the league.
