Great session tonight!

Great determination today from Cherries 2 who played We had guest players join the team and it was great to have some fresh legs on the side to use when needed. Despite a very close second quarter, Rookies took a good lead and we just couldn’t catch up! Well done to who got double bubble POM. Huge thanks goes out to and who supported both our teams today.

Today was a good day for C1. We had Ruth helping us out as GS and we also welcomed back the lovely Evie who is in our Junior squad the Cherry Pips! Our existing C1 players were pumped for the game today and we really wanted a win which we got… yay! It was a pleasure playing against and there was some great passages of play from both teams. Final score was 58-31 to Cherries. 🍒 Our Coaches POM went to our whole team and was awarded Oppositions POM. Well done everyone and Happy Sunday!

Today was Derby day… C1 vs C2! It usually only happens once in a season but there may well be a part 2 in the second half of the season. 🤪 Cherries 1 are still without some key players due to illness and injury but we had our squad step up and play with us once again. C1 started strong and took an early lead but C2 reminded us that they are a force to be reckoned with and came back to equal the score. C2 pushed ahead with Kate and Gayle getting some amazing goals despite our defences best efforts. We pulled it back so there were only a few goals between us but we know how good our second team is and they reminded us of that today getting the win with a final score of 52 goals to our 44. There was some great netball played today and we are so proud of each and every one of our players, coaches and supporters. Thanks for all the Cherry love! 🍒❤️ Umpires gave us a POM for each team so a big shout out to: C2 UPOM Sophie and MPOM Kate. C1 UPOM Zenni and MPOM Juliet. 🎶

Today Cherries 1 played and we were excited to have some new opponents in Prem! We are still currently without our shooters due to injuries and so are very grateful to our C2 shooters who stepped in to help us out again. It was a very close game and Linton’s GS did not miss which meant that we had to get every goal when we were in possession. Our defence worked tirelessly and and Zenni got MPOM as well as Zenni also getting OPOM! We were pleased to win the last quarter but Linton got the win this time. Final score 34-40 to them. Thanks to and Sarah for coaching and to all our C2 subs and supporters. 🍒

Invitation League Match: Cherries vs

It was great to play a team outside of CPL on Wednesday evening and Swans were able to bring 2 teams so that we could all play some great netball! Our defence had to work really hard against some very tall shooters and it was a good challenge for all to play against a very fit and youthful team! Thanks Swans, for being a tough opponent and well done on your double win. 🦢

C2 played Comberton 3 today. We welcomed .mc16 to the team and it was great to have lots of options on the bench so we could make changes as and when needed. Similar to C1, we also had a very close first quarter and were level going into the second. Things started clicking and we had a lead of 6 goals at half time. Unfortunately one of our shooters got injured and Comberton capitalised on this and were able to narrow the gap with only 3 goals in it going into the final quarter. Despite our efforts we didn’t manage a win and the final score was 27-28 to Comberton 3. Thanks to our whole squad and all our supporters. 🍒

C1 vs Cambourne 1. Wow, the wind sure made it fun today! Despite not having our usual shooters due to injury we were thrilled to welcome back to GP and have Kate play for us at GS. We adapted to our new squad and finished the first quarter with 9 goals a piece. Cambourne were able to convert some turnovers in the second quarter and took the lead. We then made some tactical changes which seemed to work well. It was a very physical match as we had expected and closely contested throughout. We didn’t manage a win but were proud of our performance in the final quarter. 33-45 to Cambourne 1. 👏🏻 Well done to for OPOM and Happy Birthday to from Cambourne who was celebrating her 40th! 🎈
