It was great to welcome 10 new paddlers to our new paddler session today on a slightly dreary day.

Meanwhile, some of our members had a different view as they are in Venice ready for the Vogalonga tomorrow.

From O1ing on the River Thames on a breezy Sunday to getting ready to fly through the skies on a Thursday, our club's GB paddlers are finally on their way to sunny, hot and rainy Pattaya for the 16th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships, Thailand 2023 ! The clouds loomed and the heavens did open but nothing stopped the Kingston Royals Dragon Boat Club crew from giving the other clubs a hard run for their race fees! Second last British Dragon Boat Racing Association race on the River Trent, lots of engine-revving paddling, shouts, calls, drumming, grunting and yes! our women's S14 team brought home the bling once again. Thanks to Notts Anaconda Dragon Boat Club for hosting a superb event. Won't be long 'til we're back in Nottingham once more for the Nationals. Game still VERY ON. 🐉🐲💪
