I’ve been an advocate of strength training for women for over a decade and now the research backs it up as not only one of the most effective way of training for the female body but also a necessity to avoid growing old frail, insulin resistant and disease prone.
Pilates is wonderfully complimentary to strength training. It is the perfect accompaniment to our programmed sessions. Encouraging proper core bracing and breathing. It improves your posture and activates deep core muscles. As muscles are under deep strain from repetitive movement we also include mobility and hip strengthening to encourage strong and resilient muscles that are also supple and less prone to injury.
