Peterborough Museum hosted a VIP event in the Community Gallery (1st floor) yesterday evening. Tony Baskeyfield and myself attended as club representatives.

The displays created by the Museum, Peterborough City Council, Friends of the Lido, private donors and Peterborough Sub Aqua Club are superb and very much worth a visit.

The exhibition is free, as is access to our wonderful Museum ( please pop a £5 or more in the pot to keep it going !). Also use the Lido as it is an incredible asset to the City and our club.

Worth reading. Poor planning by the dive Marshall. All drifts along this Purbeck Cliffs should be away from the Poole Harbour entrance as Bryan always does. S**t planning but great control by the Ferry captain and pilot.

Lessons learned - near miss with cross-Channel ferry This is a timely reminder to all dive managers and Cox'ns to carefully plan their diving to plan the location carefully, taking note of any local navigation restrictions and be aware that large but fast moving surface craft can be significantly constrained by their draft

Pool is ready for day 1 of 2026 .. in for an early morning dive to clear the least of the leaves

Winterised the boat yesterday at Sea Palling then enjoyed fish and chips from Beach Rock Cafe whilst watching the frisky North Sea on a blustery but beautiful day. Let’s hope next years diving season starts early! Thanks for all the support Mick Scott / Nick and Gail Dreary and Graham Dreary, up at Keith Farm.

East Coast diving is in full swing as are Lido training sessions.

Last night the Sun set on a peaceful pool which awaits it first guests for the 2025 season of fun and great swims. We have played our part in making sure the pool is clean and safe for use.

Please encourage friends and family to support Peterborough Lido by attending as many times as they can. Have a wonderful Summer all !

Phase 2 saw the remaining walls and shallow end deck getting a full sweep by Sean, Claire, Dan F, James and myself with Tony giving air fills and poolside cover. Followed up by a lovely Goan Portuguese meal at the 1498 on Priestgate. Thanks for all the hard work Team, nearly there.
