Kieran Wood Racing

well everyone that’s another meeting done this time we have managed to get another built and track ready with steve wood behind the wheel of it, there was a lot of rushing around in the morning getting cars ready getting fuel and doing final checks but that’s the way it goes,
let’s get on with the results

first of all we had steve being the wheel of the newly built fiesta, with him getting to grips with the car and being his first meeting out this season, heat 1 and 2 coming 7th and heat 3 a 5th, he done really well considering the car still needs time spent on it.

on to claire now and she’s starting from the blue grade now, in heat 1 and 2 she picked up a 6th and in heat 3 she was close to the podium with a 4th, really great drive from her thru the hole day.

on to last driver kieran and he fairly made the wee KA shift, heat 1 he managed to pick up a 3rd, moving on to heat 2 and got a 2nd very close to a 1st, heat 3 didn’t go to plan at all and crashed out making a DNF, let’s hope he can get it fixed and be out for the next one.

we would like to say a massive thank you to Robert Davidson for taking a car over and back it took a lot of stress off of us to get cars over and checked in the morning, until the next one everyone 👌🏻

well that’s the first race of the season done with, steve wood was out of this one due to an injury

but on a brighter note claire was racing on sunday and what a day it was, first race started off brilliant and having a battle for 1st between another driver but she managed to hold it together and took the 1st, for the next 2 races she managed to finish 2nd both times, claire done absolutely brilliantly this weekend

well let’s hope that both cars or maybe even more might be on track next time 🙂

first race of the season today and steve and claire was out in the prostock basics

today could have gone so much better for them, claire got out in the first race straight from work got 3 laps in and the fuel pump wanted to not work any more, steve managed to get out in all 3 races but figured out why the car was everywhere due to a shocker being non working anymore, but he still powered on thru the day, learning the track and getting back into it

both drivers did very will for being there 2nd meeting in the cars, hopefully next meeting will be better for them

well that’s this season done, kieran didn’t get much track time this season as he started a new job and has been busy with that

mean while at the shed, Steve Wood has been non stop fixing and building cars, got 2 prostock basics ready for the last meeting at crimond, very difficult conditions for the first time being out in new cars but both of them done very well

last night was awards night and claire got presented with lady banger champion 2022 for being in the formula for her first full season that’s a brilliant result, looking forward to what next season brings

kieran had his first season in hotsaloons taking a hat trick at Cowdenbeath and a min there to, the good and bad hit this season for him but hopefully next season will be better

well kieran back at Cowdenbeath heat 1 he got a 4th cuz he was stupidly using 3rd heat 2 he got a 1st but was really close heat 3 a dnf some damage done to the car but should be ready for sunday

well last weekend was the scottish weekend at crimond

kieran got on pretty good on saturday for what tires he had but in sunday heat 4 he got caught up in a pile up which meant he couldn’t get out for the scottish

claire got on pretty good to on the saturday with nothing broken and on the sunday no damage except from a puncture on the front passenger which meant claire couldn’t go as fast as she wanted to.

racing last weekend for both drivers

kieran stared off his day alright with a 8th, kieran came in from the race and couldn’t get any grip down, 2nd race came round and just as everyone was lined up it chucked it down, kieran was finding the wet pretty good but then going round the outside of someone and he gets put in, kieran came back to the pits and looked and the car and it turns out he needs a new axel, hopefully should be ready for the next one

claire went out for the first race and went and got a 3rd after a first corner tangle, 2nd race came round and managed to get another 3rd, last race and couldn’t quite get the power down on the greasy track so got a 4th but some really good driving during the whole day

next meeting- 7th august
