The hind end of a horse is the one we often overlook.
Here's a few examples of shoes modified to support, protect and ease movement of the hind end.

Age brings its own challenges with older horses so a little help at the bottom can go a long way with shoeing, joint support supplements, physio and a compassionate change to exercise

A great few days travelling Islay and Jura with Andrew Thompson DipWCF trimming the ponies, drinking the local stuff and playing with the many sheep! A nice change and my first time on the west coast/Isles.

Here's a few pictures from the worshipful company of farriers' foot balance course I attended last week.
A fantastic event that really helps you find your weaknesses and address them, sometimes in a way you never would have thought of on your own.
Big thanks to everyone in the background that made it happen and the fantastic horse owners that gave up their staurday to bring horses down to us.
