HORDEN VS HETTON
Saturday 30th May :
Effort and hard work in training is really starting to show!
The lads came in to today game full of energy and confidence hoping to continue the brilliant spring cup run they are on and boy they didn’t disappoint! Beaten 2-1 last time we played them Horden set out for revenge!
First half Horden flew out of the traps, with Jack and Lew both going close in the first couple of minutes, it was only a matter of time before we opened the scoring, the opposition just couldn’t come to terms with us. Captain Gobsh*te Caleb released Jack down the left with the opposition keeper pulling off a decent save but not being able to hold the ball, Oba slammed the rebound home 1-0!
One soon became two as Lew was played in down the right and as he does caused absolute chaos, twisting and turning multiple defending players before brilliantly finishing into the bottom corner 2-0
Again Caleb won back the ball and slipped in Jack again and this time he coolly finished, giving the keeper no chance! 3-0
Caleb turned in another assist as he won the ball back for like the 100th time, beat not 1 but 3 challenging players and played an unbelievable threaded pass for Oba to finish 4-0!
This was total domination and it could of been 6/7 by the time the half came to an end, defensively Jacob, Tud and Carson just wouldn’t allow anything to pass them, Caleb ran his legs off to help defend and put us on the attack, the wingers and Striker Jack, Lew, Oba, Nath, Dineen and Oakley did all the damage!
Brax in goal commanded his box and was first to everything!
HT 4-0
Second half was even more impressive as with the hot temperatures, the lads battled and never gave away anything and were still full of running!
Horden just kept creating chances even with the opposition playing with the extra player, it wasn’t going to stop us today.
Tud was passed the ball and played an unreal pass from his own box pretty much to put Jack 1 on 1, he slipped inside and fired low past the stranded keeper 5-0!
5-0 honestly doesn’t do the game we played justice as it could of been 20!
FT 5-0
Opposition MOTM : Oba, was pretty much unplayable today and scored two very good goals
Coaches MOTM : Jacob, absolutely dominated defensively, never put a foot wrong and even grabbed himself an assist, this passing and long balls caused chaos throughout
Honestly after the mixed league we had, the lads have put the effort and work into training and are getting the rewards they fully deserve, 13 from 15 points and I don’t see them slowing down anytime soon, the MOTM awards could of went to any of them today as they were all brilliant!
UP THE MILAN!

HORDEN VS DURHAM UNITED
Saturday 16th may :
Horden missing a couple of players which included Oakley and the Lil Nightmare Lew continued the fine spring cup form!!
Jacob fired us in front via a big deflection which may be debated on if it’s his or an own goal but I will give him his goal as I think it was going in anyway 1-0!
Didn’t take long for the confidence and form of Horden to take over as Jack fired us further infront quickly from kick off after a fine assist by captain gobsh*te Caleb 2-0!
A very debatable goal for Durham as it went straight in from a kick in?? Apparently it took deflection off Jacob but we will never know lmao!! 2-1
Jack in continuing his brilliant spring cup scoring form to quickly reestablish our 2 goal cushion, this time fed by Nath, Jack cut in and fired an unstoppable shot into the top right corner giving the keeper no chance. 3-1
Jack grabbed his first half hat trick, skipping away easily from the opposition defence and slotting past the keeper with ease! 4-1
HT
Rotating subs giving all the lads the minutes they all seemed up for the game and played some brilliant football, even Dineen being subbed twice through injuries in the first half!
Nath switched from right wing into ST continued to cause problems for opponents, some beautiful control and dribbling he put a fantastic ball in to Oba path for him to fire in off the post 5-1!
Bit of confusion among the lads allow a ball to drop in behind which even after Brax had made a couple of very good saves couldn’t keep out 5-2!
Even time for Dineen to get his goal, ball dropping out of the sky he lashed an unstoppable half volley into the roof of the net to make it 6-2!
Jack had time for one more after a beauty of a through ball from the Tud he coolly slotted again past the keeper to make it 7-2!
FT 7-2
Another dominant performance, could have been many more goals for us as every one of the lads put in a performances full of energy and class!
Opposition MOTM : they couldn’t between Jack and Oba both had brilliant games
Coaches MOTM : hardest one of the spring cup, which I just couldn’t pick one, so a — TEAM MOTM!! today as all the training is starting to pay off in games!
Up the MILAN!!!
No game this weekend!!

Catchgate vs Horden
Saturday 9th may :
With the rainy conditions we were hoping to continue our good form but we struggled to break down a rough and resilient team!
With it being an early kick off off 8.45am I took the lads a minute to wake up and it cost us, going 1-0 down after maybe a minute, decent finish but poor concentration!
From the moment they took the lead they Catchgate were on the back foot for pretty much the remainder of the game but we just couldn’t put the ball in the back of net.
Things start taking a turn for the worse as the poor referee made a string of poor decisions, first a blatant penalty turned down as lil Nightmare broke free and through 1 on 1 with the keeper, the closest defender just cleaned him out from behind but the ref saw it different as it was apparently a shoulder to shoulder challenge, next as first half GK claimed a corner and tried to get us back on the attack quickly, an opposition player blocked his path, Brax eased him out of the way only for the player to slap him in the face, with no whistle blown or seemingly any consequence of any kind, Brax reacted and a scuffle broke out, with all this going on parent of said boy ran onto the pitch in a very inappropriate manner! SHOCKING to be honest!
Second half continued in the same vain, Horden creating but unable to finish our chances, with the whole team probing and trying to force the issue, with second half GK jacob in goal, Catchgate broke and jacob produced an absolutely brilliant snap save to keep us in the game.
Finally, another blatant foul on the Lil Nightmare Lew gave us a stone wall penalty in pretty much the final minute, up steps Jack, absolutely flashing the penalty into the bottom left corner with the keeper not even reacting to the rocket!
FT 1-1
Draws better than a loss, but another dominant performance across the full pitch, wasting chance after chance! The bravery and resilience to keep going finally paid off!
Opp MOTM : Jack - wasn’t going his way but continued to probe and the effort and determination were there for everyone to see, brilliant and unstoppable penalty to grab us a point!
Coaches MOTM : Caleb - a defensive rock in the middle and at the back, controlled everything and consistently put us on the front foot with a lot of decent passing, covered every blade of grass on our pitch and the pitch behind us apparently!
To be honest these MOTM awards could have went to any one of the lads today as only our finishing needed to improve!
On to the next! UP THE MILAN!!
