Congratulations to our Gym 24 sponsored junior athlete and amazing daughter Aria on her win at the weekend. Two more rounds to go in the bouldering series and hopefully some challenging climbs and problems ahead!

Also huge congratulations to Aria's senior teammate members Hamish and Molly on securing their places at this year's Olympic Games!

Going to be madness watching them in the bouldering and lead comps alongside Erin and Toby!

2032 would be great Aria but we will settle for 2036 if necessary haha

Congratulations to Durham Climbing Centre Youth Squad, and our very own Aria for their 3rd place position in the North Inter Wall trophy today.

With teams from most of the major Northern climbing centres competing and competitors aged 8 to 17, climbing 20 different bouldering problems, it was a hard fought and brutal day of climbing.

Massive congratulations to Climb Valley for taking the overall team trophy. There were some fantastic performances across the board.

Aria does two sessions of sport specific strength and conditioning each week at the gym on top of her 4-5 days of climbing training.

We're incredibly proud of the progress made by our Strength and Conditioning client, Thomas.

As we focus on achieving county swimming qualification times, we recognized the potential for significant gains in explosive power, particularly off the block and on turns.

Just one month ago, Thomas struggled with a 20" jump. Now, he executes it with precision, and last night he successfully achieved a 24" jump with a step-in.

His strength and power improvements have been remarkable, evidenced by his recent gala where he achieved 5 personal bests. This is a true testament to his dedication and hard work!

Thomas follows a 2-day S&C cycle on top of his existing swimming training to modulate volume and intensity appropriately. He also includes some accessory core work at home, which has contributed to his impressive progress. Well done Thomas!
