Some of my highlights of this past season. TOP 3 GROUNDS were 3rd .Ramsbottom United's Harry Williams stadium argh i'm a sucker for vintage diesel trains so I will forgive the place for the awful parking ,2nd. Leek Town's ,The F Ball Community Stadium that has some great backgrounds for photo's and looks new and run down depending on where you are stood. 1st. Matlock Town's Proctor Cars Stadium with also a bit of old and new and the view of Riber castle. BEST FOOD. By a country mile it was at Albion Sports. The chicken curry and rice was excellent and worth a second portion. BEST MATCH. Overall the atmosphere and party mood that was at Hebburn Town V Rushall Olympic and the fact that the home team put on a top display against a determined away team in front of a full house was a grand day out. HOWEVER. Synthonia playing away at Ford hub on a windy April night when into the last minute of stoppage time the ball came to Evans who spun and shot into the net to win a relegation scrap with Prudhoe YC Seniors will always be etched into my fading memory banks. The game could of gone either way but the last 15 minutes were all Synthonia.

Season 2025-26 is done and dusted. 93 matches wielded 383 goals and matches in the National league (3), National League North (1), Northern Premier (5), Northern Premier East (6), Northern League (29), Northern Counties East (12), United Counties League (2), North West Counties (5), North Riding League (1), Wearside League (17), Northern Alliance ( 8 ), West Yorkshire League (1) and West Lancashire League (3). Most goals in a game Gateshead Kurdish 11-0 Shotton Coll Reserves though another game not worth mentioning finished 7-4. Only three games finished goalless and I only watched Synners 14 times and the Reserves twice. Travelling a total of 7351 miles with Leek Town the furthest away. 🚗

Match 93. 23-05-26. Reeves Independent Northern Alliance 1st Division, St Peter's Hub, Willington Quay Saints 7-0 Rothbury (HT 2-0) COST : 0, PROGRAMME : no, PIN BADGE : no, got one off Ebay, ATT : 37, PARKING : In the hub car park, FOOD & DRINK : Pepsi £1.20 crisps £1.20 (hot drinks/food available), WEATHER : Sunny/Dry, MILES : 57, GROUND : Just off the Coast road A1058 near Battle Hill. From the car park you have to enter through the hub and into the cafe. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and you can enter either side of the ground though you cannot walk around the pitchside. Two seated stands and dugouts on the roadside. LAST VISIT : 07-12-24 (Benton FC), MATCH : Rothbury were down to the bones here with nobody on the bench. Two first half injury's had them hanging in there but in the heat it told in the second half and Saint's took full advantage, The referee blew full time when the 8th goal went in but full credit playing in that heat and four days on my neck still hurts from sunburn lol.

Match 92. 16-05-26. Reeves Group Northern Alliance Premier, Benson Park (home of Gosforth Bohemians) Newcastle Independent 0-2 Seaton Delaval AFC (HT 0-2) COST : 0, PROGRAMME : no, PIN BADGE : no, ATT : 45, PARKING : Road, FOOD & DRINK : A fruit shoot 50p, GROUND : Enclosed pitch with dugouts and pavilion in the corner. WEATHER : Sunny and Dry, MILES : Including the last game a trip of 65 miles, LAST VISIT : 03-08-24, MATCH : I doubt Seaton would get relegated but this win see's them safe. In fair they were the better team. Both goals came from crosses converted and they had another shot hit the bar and were not troubled enough by Indy.

Match 91. Reeves group Northern Alliance Premier, Hazlerigg Welfare, Hazlerigg Victory 1-5 Newcastle Chemfica (HT 1-2) COST : 0, PROGRAMME : no, PIN BADGE : no, ATT : 19 at the start, PARKING : Road, FOOD & DRINK : Nothing at the ground so I walked 5 mins to Dhillons chippy. GROUND : From the chippy on the main road (Coach lane) I walked just a few yards and turned Right up Windt st and onto the footpath to a gate to the ground. As I walked in the new changing block is right in front of you. A rope was down that side of the pitch but no football furniture it's just a pitch. Allotments on this side with house's on two sides and the footpath that leads to a car park you must get to from the new estate. A odd water feature on the far side in a pitch long ditch. MATCH : The first half was a close thing and it was level until just before half time when a c**k up at the back gave Chemfica a walk in goal. The third Chemfica goal came from a free kick that was well saved but not cleared and after that they never looked back. MILES : Total was 65 (both games)

I found this badge on Ebay and found it funny enough to buy it. No makers mark on the back, probably a good job as they spelt the club name wrong.

Match 90. 12-05-26. Reeves group Northern Football Alliance League Kwik Fit Challenge Cup Final, @ Morpeth Town, Burradon & New Fordley 4-0 Haltwhistle Jubilee (HT 1-0) COST : £5, PROGRAMME : no but a free team sheet, PIN BADGE : N/A, ATT : 118, FOOD & DRINK : Chips/gravy and a coffee £5, WEATHER : Showers clearing, MILES : 87, GROUND : It's not changed since my last visit. MATCH : It was a tight first half and not much goalmouth action until the game entered stoppage time in the first half and BNF got a late goal. In the second half the League champions upped there game and after the second goal from a nice cross headed in it looked a done deal with Haltwhistle giving it all but never looking like getting a goal back. They got a third after the hour and wrapped it up in stoppage time with another well taken goal.

Match 89. 09-05-26. Reeves Group Northern Alliance Premier, Trustmark Group Stadium, Hebburn Town Reserves 1-0 Haltwhistle Jubilee (HT 1-0) COST : 0, PROGRAMME : no, PIN BADGE : £3, ATT : 37, PARKING : Road, right next to the entrance gate, FOOD & DRINK : pint of Smith's £2.70, WEATHER : Sideways rain, MILES : 40, MATCH : Two reason's I picked this game 1' It was awful weather and I wanted not to drown. 2' I have watched Hebburn's Reserves before but not at this ground so it needed ticking off. The game was awful not helped by the dreadful weather. I doubt there was any chance of them getting relegated but this win see's them ok. The only goal was from a header down in the box that looked to deflect off several players.
