Could you help make a difference at Peterlee Helford FC?
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Welfare Officer to join our fantastic team of volunteers.

This is one of the most important roles in the club, helping to ensure every child enjoys football in a safe, positive and inclusive environment, and every football club needs a Welfare Officer to be able to operate. You'll volunteer alongside our coaches, players and parents, supporting the welfare and safeguarding of all our young people.

You don't need to have experience in the role. Full support and trianing will be provided.

By volunteering, you'll play a vital role in helping the next generation enjoy the game we all love.

Peterlee Helford Youth are looking for someone to be our new Club Welfare Officer going into the 26-27 season.
This role ensures a safe,positive and inclusive enviroment for all.
You will be acting as the primary point of contact for any concerns raised to the club.
You will also look to help our club personnel understand their duty of care and help in managing the FA DBS checks along with overseeing that their Safeguarding training is carried out.
It may seem daunting but this role is so rewarding and pivotal in keeping our Club going forward.
The Club will support any interested person along with the guided training from Durham FA.
So, if you have a child within the Club's teams or just wanting to help support a Local Grassroots Club in Peterlee and you are interested in this role then please make contact with us.

Peterlee Helford Youth Orange u17s going into the 26-27 season are looking for new players.
We gather a few teams may have folded at u16 level so if any players who want to continue playing then please give us a message or an email and we will put you in contact with one of the Coaches direct for more info.
We will be playing games on a Saturday home and away in Russell Foster League with the Division TBC.

Topping the league since week one Peterlee Helford over 60's started the final game of the season with a superior goal difference knowing that a win would secure the league title.
No pressure, we were in control from the early minutes to the final whistle winning the game 7-1.

It's a very tough league with some fantastic teams, so this is a great achievement for us. Every player has been an important part of our title winning team this season so well done everyone.
The Durham FA Walking football community goes from strength to strength each season as more and more players realise how popular and beneficial this sport has become over the last few years. I would also like to note the importance of the referees involvement in the success of the league. Special thanks to Durham FA (Amy) the format of the league is much better now teams play at one venue on the same date.

Peterlee Helford would like our supporters to share in our success, so the committee have decided to freeze season ticket prices for the 2026/27 season (just giving something back)
