Wishing all my clients and livery owners a lovely Christmas and a happy New year π π
Well it was Topper and Lexi s time for a competition today and after all the great combinations at our annual competition here at the yard, pressure was on for me to not let the side down! Luckily for me both horses were brilliant. Slightly different in their attitudes today! With Topper going in reliable, trustworthy and knowing his job, performed well and came away with a 1st and 2nd ( pipped at the post for 2, 1st by no other than Lexi!) Lexi did amazing also and with her attitude today, she knew it! Going in very confidently and actually wanting to show off and perform more than what was actually required but contained her excitement to also come away with a 1st and 2nd. Couldn't be more prouder of all our horses at the yard at the moment, all performing perfectly, happy yard π΄π

So many fantastic photos to choose from thanks to Peter .But here is a just a few of our action packed Annual summer show 2022 π
Well what a fantastic day here at the yard! The largest set of entries weve had, with 13 horses in total, with a variety of dressage, show jumping and le trec, what a versatile lot! So proud of all my owners, clients and horses. They all did amazing!!! and no doubt we will have some fantastic photos to follow as we were very privileged to have the amazing Peter Illingworth, with us taking the action shots throughout the day. Well done to all those taking part today and thank you to all the spectators always a lovely day to have such amazing support!! π΄π΄π

Look what arrived today π Can only mean one thing! After an absence of 2 years , our annual competition for my lovely livery owners and clients has returned!! Horses are ready to perform their dressage tests. Spring into action over the showjumping course and of course have the most exciting time around the le trec/ obstacle course. !!! The question is are all my lovely owners and clients ready for what's in store π Going to be a fun day on Sunday. Well for me and the horses it will be anyway π€£πππ΄ππ

Lucky enough to have plenty of shade, in this unusually hot weather and good to see all horses making use of it. We'll I say all, but the one I am probably most concerned about in this heat is our golden oldie little Topper, double the age of the others, but obviously double the hardiness as well. Out in the full sun, got to love a Hardy Welsh π

Well, what a successful time we've had, couple of weeks ago we headed over to compete at brigg view farm, in their spring dressage series, after not doing any competitions since lockdown, taking Topper and Lexi to which it was her 1st competition ever! Topper came home with a 1st and 3rd and Lexi with a 4th and 5th, in the prelim tests. Toppers percentage was a credible one, and left him in bronze position for the spring series, not bad after one outing π Today we headed back for their final competition of the series, big classes, Topper coming 3rd and 4th, but Lexi really excelled herself on her 2nd ever competition and came 1st in both her prelim classes!!! I was then presented with the bronze spring series prize!!! Great I thought, well done Topper, only to discover it was Lexi, who had pipped Topper at the post on her high percentage and was the proud holder of the bronze!,π€£ not bad considering we did 2 out of the 4 competitions π Then the real icing on the cake was two of my regular clients, Sue with Truffles coming away with the silver in the elementary series after only been able to go to 2 out of the 4 competitions and also winning the prize for the highest percentage out of the whole competition and Sarah on Breeze, who came 6th today, (only the collective marks separated who got 3rd to 6th place) on her 1st ever dressage competition on Breeze! Winners all round in my eyes for the Ridley team π

Big day for Gillian and Pixi today, when Gillian rode her new youngster Pixi, for the first time. Huge success all round, and even a square halt to finish π, no stopping them now ! π
