They say to never abandon at night, and I tried not to. I’m currently sat in a Hostel in Pitlochry with a toothache that’s been nagging at me all day and got worse as soon as I tried to sleep.

I’d hoped that after a good nights sleep I’d feel refreshed, but it’s 11pm and I’ve been tossing and turning since 9. If I can’t sleep, I can’t ride. It’s not safe and it’s not going to achieve anything.

I’ll be getting the train back to London in the morning to get myself fixed up. Thanks for your support everyone, it means the world.

Sheltering in a Morrison’s cafe after a night of constant rain. Looks like it’s set in for my day through the Cairngorms.

Roll on Donington.

Another DNS this weekend, the sidecar gods just didn’t want to play. The clutch went on the warm up lap after we’d got down to a 1.57 in practice. Next stop will be Donington Park on this beautiful BMW.

Today wasn’t our best day. Free practice was a mixed, a lot of the me in traffic meant we didn’t get a clean lap early on although we did get some practice on working our way through.

Once we got some clear track I promptly tried to throw myself out of the outfit, missing my hand hold and having to pull myself back in. My leather took a battering, but I wasn’t falling out!

Qualifying and the race were both no goes as problems with the outfit stopped play. We’ll have another go tomorrow.

Obligatory circuit shot.

Funny old day of testing today. Number one outfit refused to play ball. Luckily the number 2 outfit was available and ran well in 2 sessions. I am SO out of practice. It’s gonna take some time to get back up to speed!

The date I’ll be leaving for an adventure that I’ve been planning for a while now.
I’ll be heading to Scotland to cycle 1,500km from John O’Groats down to Lands End. Solo and unsupported, hopefully in 8 days.
This is very much a personal challenge, to see if I can do it, and hopefully as a step towards something bigger if all goes well. (Makes a change from cycling around racing circuits too).
I’ll be posting as much as I can during the ride and will have my GoPro with me.
If anyone’s interested in getting involved and supporting the amount of Percy Pigs needed to fuel something like this, there’s a GoFundMe link in my bio.
There’ll be plenty more posted over the coming month, but for now love you all!
