⛵️ A Fantastic Day on the Water! ☀️
Yesterday, some of our Plymouth Mayflower Specials athletes travelled to for a wonderful day of sailing aboard Freedom, an 11.5-metre Beneteau Oceanis ocean-going yacht operated by the Disabled Sailing Association
The yacht is specially adapted to ensure sailors of all abilities can enjoy the experience, with features including wheelchair clamp rails, extra safety grab handles and a portable access bridge, making sailing accessible to everyone.
We couldn't have asked for better weather, with brilliant sailing conditions and plenty of sunshine making for a fantastic day on the water. There were lots of smiles, new experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
A huge thank you to our incredible for giving their time and support throughout the day. A very special thank you also goes to Stuart for organising this amazing opportunity, and to the fantastic team at the Disabled Sailing Association for their warm welcome, expertise and commitment to making sailing accessible for all.
Thank you to everyone who made the day so special. We can't wait to do it again! ⛵💙
