What a day for our girls!

It was incredibly tight throughout the group stages, with some really narrow margins in every game. We made it all the way to the semi-finals, where we were unfortunately knocked out by a single late goal against another fantastic Elm team. We’ve played each other many times now, and they’re always brilliant games, competitive from start to finish, with plenty of noise and support from the sidelines! ⚽️

For our very first tournament together, we couldn’t be prouder. After a break from matches, the girls came back full of determination and produced some of the best football we’ve seen them play to date. Their confidence, teamwork and effort shone through in every game.

One of the biggest highlights was hearing so many positive comments from opposition coaches about how much our girls are developing. That recognition means a lot, and we couldn’t agree more; they’re growing in confidence every week and improving every time they step onto the pitch.

A huge thank you to all our parents, families and supporters who cheered the girls on throughout the day. Your encouragement makes such a difference.

A huge thank you to Nigel Higley of NH Painter-Decorator for the incredible support he has shown our girls this season.

Nigel has gone above and beyond the call of duty for our club, attends every match, always the loudest supporter cheering on our girls and supported the girls with sponsorship funds to cover absolutely everything they will need. Grassroots football simply wouldn’t be possible without people like him, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he does behind the scenes. Even adding the club logo to his work van to show his commitment to the team 👏

Last night, at our presentation evening, we were proud to recognize Nigel with a special award in recognition of his outstanding commitment and generosity towards the team.

Thank you for believing in our girls and helping us continue to grow both on and off the pitch. Your support makes a real difference.

What a night! 🏆🧡💚

Last night we held our first-ever presentation evening at Argyle, and what a fantastic way to celebrate our amazing girls. Every single one of them was a credit to the club, and we thoroughly enjoyed recognising all their hard work, dedication and achievements throughout the season.

We also had the privilege of receiving a couple of special awards.

🌟 Imogen received an award for Outstanding Commitment. Despite facing additional challenges, she has never let anything hold her back and continues to give 10,000% every single time she pulls on her boots. We are incredibly proud of you, Imogen! Danielle Smart

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make our first presentation evening one to remember. Being among the last ones standing at 11:30pm, with the girls still full of energy, tells me one thing, we’re in for a brilliant season ahead!

⚽️ MATCH DAY REPORT ⚽️

What a performance from the Elm girls today! Every single player gave 100%, worked hard for each other and showed fantastic teamwork from start to finish.

Defensively, Olive and Erin were incredible, putting in tackle after tackle and helping keep the opposition at bay. Captain Ruby led by example, covering the midfield line brilliantly and constantly encouraging her teammates throughout the game.

Super Harley was putting in some mega tackles at the back too, sending it up to her teammates, fantastic support! 👏

Paisley showed fantastic listening skills, taking everything she’d worked on in training and applying it on the pitch. She was absolutely on fire down the wing today! 🔥

A special mention also to Isabelle, who was awarded Opposition Player of the Match, a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved. 👏

Today we rotated our two keepers, both of them showed incredible ball skills, with some big kicks and clever saves, both Chloe and Izzy had it covered 💕
