Sense of Space - Decluttering and Organising Service

Another warm session again today but it was still nice and productive, with some great goodies being donated to charity and lots of space gained back for the client. Win, win!

When it comes to deciding what to tackle with my clients, we work our way through the areas that are annoying them the most! The things that impact them on a regular basis and need rectifying.

So, part of today's job was to defrost their freezer!

Always happy to help with any area of a home that needs simplifying, organising or sorting to make life run that little bit smoother...

These were the words of one of my clients after we'd worked on one of the rooms in her house. How one session can make such an impact on someone's life is incredible 🥹

Starting that decluttering journey is a powerful step...

How long can I get away with staying like this??!!

Was very thankful to be working in a cool garage today as opposed to sorting out a loft!

Is my spice cupboard full of uniform spice jars? No!
Do they all have matching coloured lids, or lids that actually stay closed? No!
Have I got the patience to decant spices into new containers that look pretty after buying them? No!
Do I have a fancy shop bought shelf to raise them up so I can see them all? No, I have some pieces of wood that the top row sit on! 😂

But does it work for us? Yes!
Is it a space that is practical? Yes!
Does it bring me joy every time I open it because of the delicious aromas that come out of it? Yes!

You don't need to conform to what the internet tells you is the right way to organise your home. You just have to do what's right for you. Find a system that works, in the space you have and enjoy the success! 😍

Spot the sea.....

The weather this week really doesn't feel like June! Yesterday's mist sure did make the drive out to my session at Heybrook Bay a little trickier than usual!

Surely the sun must be due back soon?!

Well this has been a game changer....

A clock with a timer that goes inside the shower! Not only is it helpful to know what the time is for me, of course, but we wanted one with a timer as we find that when the girls have a shower they just want to stay in there for ages.... and I mean ages!!!

So, no more calling through the door several times telling them to finish up and get out!! They go in, they set a 10 minute timer (15 if we're feeling generous!!) and they can watch it count down so they know exactly how long they have left. Then, when the alarm goes off, they know to get out. Sorted!

A lesson in time management and reduced water bills. Sorted 😉

Where possible, I love putting items vertically because it makes accessing them so much easier. We had a prime example of this in today's session when loading different crafting goodies into a storage chest. It was a great way to file them away rather than stacking them on top of each other so try it when you get the chance.

(I should probably have taken photos but we were too excited getting everything organised!)

When you have some strawberries a little past their best and you show the girls what you've made with them when they get home from school. The minute I cut them up they were all over them! There was no chance I could get a shot without them trying to get one so I went with it!! 😂

Another boot load of donations gone to charity today! Clients regaining space in their homes and helping others at the same time...
