Today’s Player of the Day for the Purples goes to Teddy #2! 👏⚽

Teddy was outstanding throughout the tournament, working tirelessly for the team and linking up play brilliantly. He’s one of the most unselfish players around, always looking to bring his teammates into the game, while also being a real goal threat with both his left and right foot.

What stands out most about Teddy is his resilience. Despite being what feels like the most fouled player in U10 history, he always gets straight back up and keeps going. His determination, attitude and commitment never waver.

A thoroughly deserved award after another fantastic performance.

Today’s Player of the Day for the Oranges goes to Edward #5! 👏⚽

Edward was outstanding throughout the tournament, showing incredible tenacity, grit and determination in every game he played. He worked tirelessly for the team, never giving up on a challenge and setting the standard with his effort and commitment from start to finish.

As well as his hard work, Edward chipped in with some excellent goals, taking his chances brilliantly and making a huge impact in key moments throughout the day. His performances played a massive part in the team’s success and helped drive the boys into the knockout stages.

A well-deserved recognition for a player who gave absolutely everything for the badge today. We’re incredibly proud of you, Edward! 🧡🖤

⚽ EXETER CITY TOURNAMENT ⚽

Another brilliant day of football for the Tamerton boys at the Exeter City Tournament!

Our 🟣 Purples were outstanding throughout the group stages, going completely undefeated and conceding just a single goal all morning. They finished second in their group only on goal difference before battling their way to a 1-0 victory in the Last 16. Their fantastic run eventually came to an end in the quarter-finals against a very strong side, but they can be incredibly proud of their performances all day 💯👏

Our 🟠 Oranges had a tough start, losing their opening two fixtures, but showed tremendous character and resilience to turn things around. The boys dug deep, and fought their way back to finish 4th in the group and secure a place in the knockout stages. They then narrowly missed out in the Last 16 after a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat.

What stood out most today was the attitude, teamwork, determination and spirit shown by every single player. The boys represented Tamerton brilliantly and should all be proud of themselves. 🧡⚽️

A massive thank you also goes to Romeo and Ralphe for helping us out today. Both lads stepped in and gave absolutely everything for the team, and we really appreciate their efforts. 👏🧡💜

As always, we’re incredibly proud of all our players. The football is great to watch, but it’s the character they show that makes this group so special.

💚⭐️ PLAYER OF THE DAY – NOLAN #7 ⭐️💚

A worthy winner of player of the day for
Tamerton Greens today! 🔥
After missing an early penalty, he showed incredible character to bounce back and become the difference maker for Tamerton, scoring the winning goal in THREE separate 1-0 victories ⚽💥

It wasn’t just the goals—Nolan created chances, played brilliant through balls, unlocked defences, and was a constant source of encouragement for his teammates throughout the day. 💚

With relentless work rate, determination, positivity, and match-winning quality, this award was fully deserved.

Well done, Nolan! 👏💚

🧡⭐️ PLAYER OF THE DAY – EVAN ⭐️🧡

A huge congratulations to Evan, our Player of the Day for the orange team following a fantastic performance in his very first tournament for Tamerton! 🔥

From the first whistle, Evan played with a calmness and confidence that looked well beyond his years. He settled into the team brilliantly and quickly developed some excellent relationships on the pitch with his teammates, linking play well and always making himself available for the ball. 💯

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly his absolute worldie of a goal from inside his own half! 🚀⚽ A moment of quality that had everyone watching on their feet and one that won’t be forgotten anytime soon.

Most importantly, Evan worked hard, listened well and embraced everything that being part of the team is about. We couldn’t have asked for more from his first tournament in a Tamerton shirt.

🧡⚽️ What a day for our boys! ⚽️🧡

Today we entered a tournament a year up against U11 opposition, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single player who pulled on a Tamerton shirt.

Both teams played with incredible determination, worked their socks off from start to finish, and scored some fantastic goals along the way. To compete so well against older players is a real credit to the hard work, attitude and character of these lads.

🟢 Tamerton Greens were outstanding throughout the group stages, topping their group before narrowly missing out in the semi-finals. They bounced back brilliantly to win their 3rd place play-off and finish the day on a high.

🟠 Tamerton Orange battled hard all day, narrowly missing out on 2nd place in their group and a spot in the Cup semi-finals. They responded brilliantly, finishing 3rd in the group before going on to win the Plate Final with a superb performance.

Results are always nice, but what impressed us most was the way the boys played the game – showing teamwork, resilience, courage and plenty of quality on the ball.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to the boys who helped us out today. Stepping in to support the teams and represent the club is greatly appreciated, and they were a credit to themselves and Tamerton throughout the day.

A massive well done to all of the players. Competing a year up is never easy, but you represented Tamerton with pride and should all be very proud of yourselves.
