A mixed weekend: 2nds win by a huge margin but 1st struggled this week against Tavistock.

Sunday saw us getting a respectable draw against South Brent. The highlight was we using 13 bowlers - yes 13 different bowlers were used by captain Adrian Vickery.

Plenty happening this week with plenty of cricket for everyone.

Yesterday we came together as a club to remember Mike Whitting, our much-loved groundsman and a true part of the club’s heart. His dedication, kindness, and years of service will never be forgotten, and it meant so much to see so many people there to pay their respects and celebrate everything he gave to the club.

Mike’s daughters and their families were also there, and they were truly appreciative of the support, love, and respect shown on the day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a special day, and to those who stayed on for the fun T20 — a fitting ending with a tie, and a day full of laughter, tributes, and club spirit. A special thank you to Karen and Paul for sourcing the bell and stand, to Helen for the scones, jam and cream, and to Ady for keeping the game going right to the end.

Mike’s memory will always be part of this club, and days like today showed exactly what makes it so special.
