While the Dazcat 1495 damage was being inspected by insurance surveyors at the Multihull Centre yard today it seemed too good an opportunity to miss to get Amelia and her sailing buddy Summer out on another sporty little catamaran for some exciting sail training. They had a great time and ready to go again 💪😎

Back in France and young Olaf delighted to collect our 2nd place trophy from the 2026 Drheam Cup last month. One for the whole of the DMS Offshore Racing team to savour over a few beers while we wait for the boat to be repaired and plan our 2027 adventures and challenges. Cheers 🍺💪

Fab few hours today for Amelia our young delivery crew member at MerConcept in Concarneau where our friend Sam Goodchild gave her a tour of the amazing race boats and invited her for work experience when she gets around to learning a few more words of French 💪

Following the damage to our amazing raceboat last week the tide was finally high enough to allow craning out so a full assessment of the repairs needed can be carried out.

Season ending injury to the beautiful DMS Vinyl raceboat yesterday while sat unattended moored to our berth in Plymouth. Another boat smashed into the side of us causing significant damage to hull and rigging (and then left scene of incident without exchanging details - Police involved and we have plenty of witnesses and CCTV). Means we miss the final 3 races of 2026. Completely gutted for the whole team who have worked so hard this season to have it all finished like this. She’ll soon be in the expert hands of the guys and girls at Dazcat and Multihull Centre to get her ready for another exciting race programme in 2027!

4 days, 3 nights, very little sleep so pleased with our result of 3rd in the 2026 Dhream Cup, a major French offshore yacht race. This year was really challenging with big seas, high winds, zero winds and high temperatures but the crew on DMS Vinyl shone brightly. After a few beers it’s nearly time for dinner and well earned sleep for all the team….. Dave Summers, Pete Goss, Raphael Dinelli, Brendan Seward, Graeme MacLeod, Matt Blakeston, Andy Sinclair with shore support from James Avery. And the Dazcat 1495 was fu***ng awesome. She soaked up everything that was thrown at her.
