At Ernstell House, we're incredibly proud to celebrate four valued members of our team who have each reached an amazing milestone: 10 years of service.

For a decade, they have shown unwavering dedication, compassion and commitment to the residents, families and colleagues who make Ernstell House such a special place to live and work. Their contribution has helped shape countless positive experiences and made a real difference to the lives of so many people.

We recently came together to recognise this fantastic achievement and thank them for everything they have given over the years.
Long service milestones like these are a wonderful reminder of the caring, supportive and passionate people who are at the heart of our home every day.

Congratulations to all of our recipients and thank you for your loyalty, hard work and dedication. Here's to many more years ahead! 💐✨

We had an absolutely fantastic Father’s Day celebration at Ernstell House today! 🎉

​The afternoon was filled with smiles, laughter, and incredible live entertainment that had everyone singing and tapping their feet. It was wonderful to see our residents, families, and staff coming together to honor all the amazing dads and grandads in our community.

​A huge thank you to our performer for making the day so memorable, and to everyone who joined us to make it so special! 💙✨

What an absolutely fantastic week we have had celebrating Care Home Open Week 2026!
Today marked our final Care Home Open Week event – the Staff Star Awards 2026

⭐🏆. We celebrated our incredible team across 8 different award categories, with the winners chosen by the people who matter most – our residents and their relatives. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the dedication, compassion and hard work shown by our amazing staff every day.
The afternoon was filled with delicious cream teas, plenty of bubbly, and lots of smiles as we came together in true awards ceremony style to celebrate our stars! 🥂🍰

⚽️ What a result! Day 2 of Care Home Open Week was an absolute winner! 🙌

​We all gathered around the big screen today to cheer on England in their first match of the 2026 World Cup. The energy in the lounge was incredible—we waved our flags, enjoyed a few refreshing drinks, and cheered the team all the way to victory! 🦁🦁🦁

We had a lovely start to our Care Home Open Week 2026 today with our Glitter & Glam Fancy Dress Disco ✨
Residents and staff enjoyed adding a touch of sparkle with their glittery and sparkly accessories, bringing plenty of shine and smiles to the day 💫 While it was a more relaxed dance floor, there was still lots of toe-tapping, singing along, and laughter shared 🎶💖
It was wonderful to see everyone come together, enjoy the music, and make special memories to kick off the week in style ✨

Tomorrow marks the start of Care Home Open Week 2026, and we’re excited to welcome you to a week full of fun, celebration, and community spirit here at Ernstell House!
Here’s what we have coming up:

🌟 Monday 15th – Fancy Dress Disco: Glitter & Glam

Get ready to sparkle! Join us for an afternoon of music, dancing, and entertainment with live entertainment from Bonzer Entertainment. Dress to impress in your best glitter & glam outfit!

⚽ Wednesday 17th – World Cup Watch Along
🕘 Kick-off at 9:00pm
Join us in the Upper Bistro as we cheer on England as they face Croatia on the big screen. Enjoy the match together in a great atmosphere!

🏆 Friday 19th – Ernstell House Staff Star Awards

✨ A lovely start to something special at Ernstell House ✨

Today we held our very first monthly church service here at Ernstell House, and what a beautiful way to come together it was. 💛
We spent time reflecting on the meaning behind the hymns we sang, which led to some lovely conversations and shared memories. It was a calm and uplifting morning enjoyed by everyone who joined us.
After the service, we relaxed together with tea, coffee, and cake ☕🍰—a perfect way to finish such a meaningful gathering.
We’re so pleased to say that these services will now take place on the last Friday of every month, and we’re already looking forward to the next one.
