Old forks needed|!
I need to build up my on-one in**ed for some ill-advised France holiday antics. So I need some 26er forks, 1 1/8" straight steerer, disc mounts, 100mm ish travel.
Nothing shonky (I've got some of those) and the stanchions have got to be good otherwise Dave from RSF is going to hulk out and under torture I'll be forced to give him your address!
So please have a look in your sheds and behind the sofa. Thanks.

The bluebells were still asleep when I did my final Newnham Takeover recce on the way to work, but they will be looking amazing on Saturday. The tracks are riding really well, and there's a really good variety of challenge for all levels of rider.
Online booking will close at 4pm tomorrow.
I absolutely love this event and can't wait to see you there!

This is my plan for the Filthy Foxes Newnham Takeover. There will be more tracks open than last time and some optional red level tracks to add a cheeky challenge for those who want it.
I'm really hoping the bluebells will be out for us too!

Newnham 60 debrief:
Now that the dust (!) has settled after Saturday's Newnham 60 we can look back at what was a brilliant day of riding despite some seriously challenging conditions.
The two most important bits of news are:
1) We will be donating a total of £1000 to Project 35, Woodside Animal Welfare Trust and The Trussell Trust Foodbank
2) The event will run again next year. We're hoping for a similar time of year but on a Sunday - we'll keep you posted.
We have a lot of people to thank for helping the event to happen:
*You - the riders, without you there's not a lot of point!
*Our fantastic marshals - Rose, Paul, Neil, Anita, Leigh, Jon, Iain
*Registration and feed zone heroes - Jane and Becca
*Tim from Dart Data who captured all your times despite hardly anyone doing the distance they had actually entered 😆
*Certini Bicycle Co. Saltash for fixing all sorts of bike issues pre and during the event
*TORQ Fitness for providing the feed zone energy
*The Ice Cream Van on the Hoe for the incredible post ride ice creams
*The Bosko Bus for the pre and post ride fuelling
*Martyn Salt for creating the Newnham 60 a very long time ago, and trusting us to take it on.
Waste:
*We think we did a pretty good job of reducing waste by ditching the numbers and using minimal disposable products. We aim to do even better next year though.
*We bought way too much food for the feed station, so have donated the leftovers to a mental health charity and the food bank.
Same time next year!

What an amazing day!
Your lap times can be downloaded from the event webpage now. There is probably a better way of sharing them but I'm too tired to think about it now.
There are a couple of anomalies - please get in touch if you think something is not quite right.

Newnham 60 Saturday 18th March 2023, 9.30am
We are really looking forward to welcoming you all to the Newnham 60 tomorrow. Here are 3 important things:
1) To speed up registration, please look up your number on the list on the side of the tent BEFORE you get to the desk.
2) There will be a rider briefing at 0920 at the XCRacer star tent. You'll be able to listen in from the loo queue.
3) The event is in the grassy event arena NOT the shooting ground. Follow the Fully sussed arrows.

Entry for the Newnham 60 is now closed, and FULL! Please don't come down to try to enter on the day as we will have to turn you away😞 and that's not fun for anyone.
Course marking has started and will take a variety of forms - see the pics below for an idea of what you'll be looking for.
Registration opens at 0830.
Timing chips go on your left ankle.
