Ruben Mackie returns to the Plymouth Patriots Basketball Academy for the 2026/2027 season.

One of the longest serving members of the Patriots Basketball Academy, Ruben prepares to enter his third year with the programme having played a vital role in achieving back to back titles.

We look forward to seeing Ruben continue to raise his level and make an even larger impact on court over the coming season.

Noah Young returns to the Plymouth Patriots Basketball Academy for the 2026/2027 season.

A key member of last year’s back to back title winning squad, Noah enters his second year with the Plymouth Patriots Basketball Academy.

As we prepare for another huge season, we’re excited to see his game continue to develop.

SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMPS

Summer is nearly here, and so are our Plymouth Patriots Summer Basketball Camps.

Whether your child is completely new to basketball or already plays every week, our camps are a great way to improve skills, make friends and have plenty of fun during the school holidays.

This summer we're at Plymstock School, while the sports hall floor at Marjon is being replaced.

Camp Dates:

We have sessions for everyone:
- Under 10s Half Day Camps
- Girls Only Half Day Camps
- Mixed Camps for ages 10 to 16

Our mixed sessions are split into age and ability groups, so every player is challenged at the right level, whether they're picking up a basketball for the first time or looking to develop their game ahead of the new season.

The camps are led by our professional coaching team, including Coach PJ, the most successful professional coach in British basketball history, alongside Coach Doug, U17s and U15s Assistant Coach for Wales, giving every player the chance to learn from coaches with a wealth of experience at the very highest levels of the game.

Our experienced coaching team will deliver fun, energetic sessions packed with skills, games and competitions in a supportive environment.

Together, we're committed to creating opportunities for young people, building confidence, developing character and using basketball as a vehicle for personal growth both on and off the court.

Last session together as an U12s team tonight. (With a few missing). We’re sad to see these guys split up, they’ve become amazing friends off the court this season - and are fantastic teammates.

They’re our energy team and it’s been a joy to watch them train, become mates and grow together each week. What a first competitive season some of the younger ones have had!

U14s are lucky to get half of these awesome players next year.

Hope they’re ready for Max’s “ENERGY!”

WHAT A FORTNIGHT!

We’ve been blown away by the success of our trials these past two weeks.

They’ve been our busiest ever trials, with more players trying out for our U12s, U14s, U16s, U18s and Girls’ teams than ever before.

And there’s been some serious talent on show - our coaches have been impressed!

Everyone who tried out has been sent a letter via email in the last few days. You have until July 3 to reply.

We now can’t wait for next season!
