Manchester Box Cup ✅

Fantastic performances all around. What a team 👏

Yesterday our very own Slen Hughes boxed in the finals of the 4 nations in Glasgow, Scotland.

Slen entered the tournament with only 4 previous boxing bouts and performed outstandingly. On day 1 Slen boxed the Welsh number 1 and put on a masterful display of boxing earning himself a unanimous decision win.

The finals Slen boxed the Scottish number 1 who was a previous 4 nations champion and also European bronze medalists: Slen boxed unbelievably well and when it got to the final bell everyone was convinced that the England born and bred super heavyweight had done enough.

Sadly Slen just missed out on the decision, the announcement read that there was a 3-2 split decision to the Scottish representative.

We were overjoyed with the performance of Slen, he entered the tournament with only 4 previous bouts and in our opinion won the 4 nations against some of the very best in Europe. After this tournament Slen would have gained an unbelievable about of experience and only grow from strength to strength.

Now Slen will represent England in the European championships in October, congratulations young man! Winning a silver medal in the 4 nations within 6 amateur contests is absolutely incredible 👏🏼

Nearly 50 young boxers packed the gym today for our Open Day!

The energy was electric from the first bell — passion, discipline, and pure hard work in every round.

Every single boxer and coach showed up with total professionalism and respect. This is exactly what amateur boxing should be all about, building the next generation the right way.

A massive thank you to every youngster who stepped through the doors, laced up, and gave it everything. And to our incredible coaching team — you made it all possible. None of this happens without you 🙏🏼
