Today, Jemima and Sienna were fitted for their very first pointe shoes – a moment every young ballerina dreams of and one that marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their ballet journey. 🩰💖

We are incredibly proud of you both for all your hard work, dedication, and determination. This achievement has been earned through countless hours of practice, and we can’t wait to see where your journey takes you.

A huge congratulations to our wonderful alumni, Liv Hughes, who is currently performing aboard the iconic Queen Mary 2 with Cunard! 🚢✨

Liv graduated from GP just under four years ago before continuing her professional training at ADDICT Dance Academy. We are so excited to see her thriving in her first professional contract, and what an incredible way to begin her career!

We couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved, Liv. Your hard work, dedication, and talent have truly paid off, and we can’t wait to see where this exciting journey takes you next.

🏁✨ GPDC FUNDRAISER: DREW’S 100-MILE ULTRA-MARATHON ✨🏁

So on SATURDAY 4TH JULY 2026 our co-founder Drew Shears will be on the starting line for the notorious ‘CASTLE TO CASTLE’ ULTRA-MARATHON from BAMBURGH to EDINBURGH, organised by ‘Rat Race’ 🏃🏻‍♂️

He will have 48 HOURS TO COMPLETE THE RACE but be aiming to finish it in around 24-30 HOURS if possible by walking, running (and crawling if necessary!) with his pain all to benefit The Groovement Project Dance Company and the local south-west community; with the goal of raising further funds to create further amazing opportunities for GPDC Dancers & Performers, as well as going towards PHASE TWO of the GPDC DANCE & PERFORMING ARTS COMPLEX. These funds will help towards completing two further studios, a gym, changing rooms and a community safe space. 🏠

Drew is aiming to raise just £5 PER MILE, with an overall target of £500 if possible! ANY DONATIONS AT ALL, no matter how tiny or large would be hugely appreciated, or even just sharing this page could go a long way for us to help us create the Performing Arts Complex for Plymouth and the South-West that we dreamed of. 💭💜

What a special GP family moment! ❤️

This week, our lovely student Scarlett went to see the Take That Circus Tour in Cardiff, where our incredible alumni Ran Marner is currently performing. ✨

Although both Scarlett and Ran trained at GP, their paths never actually crossed - Ran graduated from GP and went on to study at Urdang before Scarlett joined. Despite that, Ran made the effort to find Scarlett and her mum, Sophie, after the show, spending time chatting and taking photos together.

Moments like these remind us just how strong and supportive the GP family truly is. 💙

We are so proud of Ran, Scarlett, and every one of our students, past and present. Watching our alumni thrive while continuing to inspire and support the next generation is what makes our community so special.
