With the Men’s team kicking off the action at 18:00 today & the Women’s team tomorrow at 09:00.

As we prepare for an exciting 2026/27 season, we’re looking to grow stronger than ever, and we want you to be a part of it!

Whether you’re an experienced player, returning to the game, or picking up a stick for the first time, there’s a place for you in the Lions’ Den.

We welcome all skill levels and backgrounds.

We have a series of drop in sessions, starting THIS WEDNESDAY at Plymouth Marjon University:

29th July, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th August.

- 6.30pm - 7.30pm Juniors (8 - 13s)
- 7.00pm - 8.30pm - Seniors (13 +)

We can confirm that the following dates have been booked for some club catch-up sessions and new member tasters.

Pitch hire has to be covered so its £3/session for the junior slot and £4/session for the seniors - either cash on the night or online to club account.

If you want to block pay in advance its £12 for juniors and £16 for seniors (1 free!)

SPOND invites will go out, so we have an idea of numbers and can track attendance.

The Tina Phillips Summer League ROUND UP ☀️

A big season in Division 1 for Barbarians, who dominated winning the league with only 1 loss and a HUGE goal difference of +25. Followed up closely by runners up, Peppermints, featuring several Lions players.

Honourable mentions for Plymouth Red Lions, who finished 2nd in Division 2 who were outdone by an undefeated Caradon team.

Green Kookaburras who finished 3rd in Division 4, only missing out on second place by 4 points.

White Kookaburras who made an outstanding debut in the TPL, finishing second in Division 5, only losing two games. This will most likely give them promotion.

The TPL Summer 7s tournament 7️⃣

A SCORCHING day, with four Lions teams battling the 30+ degrees sun 😎

A very successful and dominant day for the Lions.

In the tournament, Barbarians finished 2nd & Plymouth Red Lions finished 3rd by narrow margins.

In the trophy, both Kookaburra teams faced each other a hard fought final. The Green Kookaburras were the ones who managed to come out on top as winners of the trophy, White Kookaburras finishing runners up.

Finally, a HUGE thank you to the organisers of TPSL, it’s a massive task and without them, we wouldn’t be able to enjoy what has truly been a summer league this year 🥵

🏆 WEST LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD 🏆

As many of you will have seen, we were delighted to announce yesterday that we were named West Club of the Year.

That achievement is only possible because of the many volunteers who give up their time and work tirelessly both on and off the pitch to make our club the success that it is.

At the heart of it all is our incredible Chair, Jackie Daw, whose dedication, selflessness, and commitment to hockey over so many years has had a huge impact on both our club and the wider hockey community.

We are therefore incredibly proud to announce that .daw.3 has won the Lifetime Achievement Award! 💚

I’m sure there are countless stories of the ways Jackie has supported, inspired, and helped shape people’s journeys in hockey. This award is just a small reflection of everything she has given to the sport across the city and region.

Jackie, alongside the club, has now been shortlisted for the National Lifetime Achievement Award!

The ceremony will take place in Leicester on Saturday 6th June, please see Spond for ticket details.
