☀️ Year 6 Phoenix Match Report ☀️

What a brilliant afternoon of netball yesterday. In tough heat, our mixed teams , including some players playing their first ever match — gave everything.

Trying out new positions, plenty of learning moments with coach Jenna, and some great goals, interceptions and set‑piece practice throughout.

Most importantly, the girls gave 100%, supported each other, and had fun from first whistle to last. Proud of every single one of them.

🔥 Primary Series Round 2 – Year 6 Griffins vs Ivybridge 🔥

A positive outing for the Year 6 Griffins, who made a strong start and took an early lead with some excellent defensive tips and intercepts. Ivybridge responded well, but the players kept battling and showed great determination throughout.

There were some lovely passages of play, particularly in the third quarter, with sharp passing and accurate shooting helping to close the gap. In difficult conditions and against strong opposition, the team never stopped working, supporting each other and continuing to improve.

Plenty of positives to take forward and lots to build on. Well done, players! ❤️🖤🔥

Primary summer series ❤️💚
Year 4 Phoenix took to the court against Year 4 Plymstock.

All 7 girls managed to get on the scoresheet, showing great confidence and determination in front of goal. The coaches encouraged the players to focus on moving past defenders and using strong dodging skills to create space, with an emphasis on speed throughout the game.

There were some very lovely passages of play, linking well straight through the court from GD, through C and GA, all the way to GS. The teamwork and movement were excellent to watch.

Despite the heat and tiredness, the players kept pushing on with smiles on their faces, working brilliantly together, following instructions, and completing some super quick rotations. A great day had by all! ☀️🔥❤️💚

Year 3 Sparks took to the court against Plymstock. With this being a second or third match for many of the girls, their effort, focus and energy levels in the challenging temperatures were especially impressive. ☀️🔥❤️💚

The girls listened really well and stayed focused on getting into space, just as Coach Jenna had instructed. They also did a brilliant job listening to the parent helpers and following instructions for high-five rotations and substitutions to help manage the challenging temperature conditions.

The whole team demonstrated great focus, resilience and enthusiasm from start to finish. Well played, girls! 🔥❤️💚

🔥 Primary Series Round 2 – Year 5 Griffins 🔥

Another valuable game for the girls today, with lots of positives to take away. They showed fantastic determination, kept working hard and improved as each quarter passed. Their movement through the mid-court became stronger and they were rewarded with a well-deserved goal.

Most importantly, the girls never gave up, supported one another and continued to grow in confidence throughout the match. So proud of their effort, attitude and resilience. ❤️🖤🐦🔥

Year 4 Griffins faced a tough match against Ivybridge Year 4 on a super hot day! ☀️🔥

With a team made up of children from Years 2, 3 and 4, the girls worked brilliantly together throughout the game. They listened carefully to Coach Jenna, supported one another, and never stopped battling from the first whistle to the last. ❤️💚

A fantastic team effort and great determination shown by everyone. Well played, girls! 🔥❤️💚
