Firebirds on Fire in Paignton! 🔥🏐

Our Under 10 girls travelled to Paignton today for a fantastic friendly tournament hosted by Dart Netball Club.

With a mix of Year 4 and Year 5 players, the girls worked together brilliantly as a team. They followed every instruction perfectly, showed an amazing sense of positioning, and brought non-stop grit and determination to the court.

Despite facing some super tough opposition, the girls weren't phased at all. To top it off, they showed great behavior and sportsmanship between games during a non-stop, action-packed 2 hours!

🏆 Coaches' Player of the Day: Lenni 🏆
Lenni’s confidence and determination have grown so much over the last couple of weeks. She was absolutely flying today—speeding around the court to support in the centre third, then racing right back to the D to defend and attack! Superb effort, Lenni! 🌟

⭐ Opposition Player Shout Out: Holly ⭐
A massive well done to Holly, who was voted Opposition Player by two different teams today! Incredible impact on the court, Holly! 👏

Well done, Firebirds! You all absolutely smashed it! ❤️💚

🔥 Firebirds Match Report 🔥

What a fantastic performance from Firebirds Phoenix in the Prem A on Monday night 🏐🔥

A brilliant 41–27 win against Watertight Roofing Saints! We maintained a great flow throughout the game, with some excellent ball movement and plenty of turnovers created through our strong defensive pressure.

The feeds into the D were outstanding, giving our shooters plenty of opportunities, and our interceptions were on point! 🙌 The whole team worked brilliantly together from start to finish, keeping the energy high and making it a really enjoyable game.

A huge team effort and a well-deserved win! 💪🔥

🔥 Firebirds APH 33–16 UTN Toms 🔥

What a performance from the Firebirds! 🔥👏 From the first whistle, we were on fire, with some fantastic defending putting the pressure on and creating plenty of opportunities.

Our shooters were absolutely brilliant, working closely together, moving the ball beautifully and showing great patience in the circle. And when the opportunities came… the shots went in! 🎯🔥

A fantastic all-round team performance, with everyone working hard for each other and keeping the intensity up throughout the match.

💙 Final score: Firebirds APH 33–16 UTN Toms 💙

There was some great fast-paced passing and moving down the court, with the girls reading the court really well and showing some excellent teamwork throughout the game.

We saw some brilliant interceptions, quick movement and plenty of great team play as the girls worked hard for each other from start to finish!

🔥 U11 Flames – Dart League 🔥

A brilliant 23–0 win in our first match, with strong defensive pressure creating plenty of interceptions and turnovers. Great movement through court, well-timed circle feeds and excellent shooting accuracy made for a fantastic start.

The second match was a much tougher contest. The girls worked hard for every goal, battled to regain possession and showed real determination in transition through court. A closely fought game, finishing 6–4 to the opposition.

Two very different games, with lots of positives to take forward. Well done, girls! ♥️

♥️💚 U11 Blaze – Dart League 💚♥️

Apologies, no photo was taken this time!

Two great games from Blaze resulted in strong wins. In attack, the team moved the ball quickly to the circle, creating plenty of shooting opportunities. Defensively, decisive defending kept the ball out of our circle and created some excellent turnovers.

The team are improving match by match — what a great start to the league! It was also brilliant to see some of our U10 players stepping up, playing with full energy and presence and making a real impact across the court. 💥
