A huge congratulations to our captain and chairman, Sean Harris, who has officially reached an incredible 600 appearances for AFC Pontardawe! 👏⚽️

Sean first put on the shirt at just 19 years old, and since then has become such a massive part of this club. An outstanding player, a fantastic leader and someone who is always willing to help wherever he can. No matter what, Sean always gives his all for the team and the club! 💪

We are incredibly grateful for everything you have done and continue to do for AFC Pontardawe. 💜

600 appearances is an unbelievable achievement and one that deserves to be celebrated!🏆

Not the result we wanted tonight, losing 5-3, but the boys definitely showed plenty of fight! 💜⚽️

Some absolute class goals from Luken Lahetjuzan, Mark Davies and Dale Harris (sponsored by Addis Housewares, Little Trams & Sam Sharp Barbers) had us battling, but things took a turn when we lost our keeper to a red card in the 18th minute, leaving us with 10 men. Wyatt then bravely stepped in between the sticks despite never playing in goal before 🤣👏

Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there, ending up with 9 men and eventually 8! 🤦‍♂️🤣

All in all, a great effort from the boys considering the circumstances… but we really do need to start keeping our cool heads! 😂 Not the start to the season we wanted, but plenty of positives to take and it’s onwards and upwards from here! 💪💜

A huge battling performance from the boys tonight! With injuries and a blue card meaning we were down to 10 men at times, everyone dug deep and gave absolutely everything. Bryn Rovers played a great game and led 1–0 right up until the 90th minute, when .brown96 scored his first goal for the club to rescue a well-deserved draw! 🙌💜
Massive credit to all the boys for the fight and determination shown throughout. Special shout-out to who kept us in the game for so long with a fantastic performance! 🧤👏💜

Yesterday we welcomed Pontardawe Town Youth for our first pre-season friendly of the 2026/27 season, and what a great game it turned out to be!
Although AFC Pontardawe came away with a 5-3 victory, Pontardawe Town Youth were outstanding throughout, showing fantastic determination, quality and never giving up right until the final whistle. They should all be incredibly proud of their performance.
It was also a very positive first outing for AFC Pontardawe, with the team playing some excellent football and showing plenty of encouraging signs ahead of the new season. Some new faces for us this season … and a lot of old faces 👀😂
