Her brother was enjoying his kickboxing so much little sister Freya wanted in on the action.

What a star.

We've kick started our Monday with our Little Samurai class for 3-4 year olds.

Today it was the first session for this Little champ 🙌 Freya's older brother trains with us so she couldn't wait to join us too! She's just turned 3 so was able to join our Little Samurais. She was so excited that she jumped straight in the dojo without so much as a look back.

It's clear to see from the giant grin on her face that she's had a great first session 😃

Super proud of Harrison who's progressed into our Samurai programme.

He started in our Little Samurai programme for 3-4 year olds and after nearly a year has progressed up into the next programme.

The little samurai programme has given him fundamental skills such as listening✅ good manners✅ team work✅ and communication ✅

These core values are super important in the Samurai programme to help foster learning.

Our very own ninja. Caleb

Meet Caleb.

He came to our Little Samurais class to learn how to be a ninja and to learn some cool moves.

He came in full of enthusiasm but then the nerves and shyness kicked in.

He spent several weeks on the sidelines joining in for a few minutes before retreating back to mum and in his eyes safety.

However he persevered and little by little he spent more time on the mats than sat with mum.

Now mum is able to sit back and relax as Caleb takes part fully in each class. His confidence is flying and he's now a fully fledged Little Samurai.

When you are 3 years old how amazing is it to get a certificate because you have overcome your shyness and taken part in your first martial arts class.

We love to see the confidence grow in our members and to see them believe in themselves.

Our Little Samurais love helping to put the equipment away after classes.

Sengoku Martial Arts is much more than kicking and punching. Valuable life skills and teamwork are a major part of programmes.

Our little Samurais are progressing really well. Can you believe these little ones are only 3 or 4 years old.
