So, I was a bit hyped and inspired by the Thor: Rangarok trailer, so with nothing with a deadline to work on I thought I might as well do something from it
Heat formed 3mm foam pvc (sintra) with car body filler applied with masking tape to get the sharp edges, less than 2 hours in so far and already starting to look recognizable as loki's horned head piece

We have a sewing commission underway, but some fabric samples came for the next super hero build; DCEU Flash, two layer spandex/stretch mesh bodysuit with plenty of foam armour made with foam from Poly-Props Ltd
It'll be my biggest foam build yet, hopefully I can get it done in time for a con in the later part of this year

We're very happy to now be able to reveal a project we have been working on for the past couple of weeks, and it includes some new techniques for us!
So, this Jacket was made on commission in secret for a friend of ours, as a gift. For those of you who don't know the show - it's a recreation of the Training Jacket worn by Jean-Jacques "JJ" Leroy from Yuri!!! on ICE.
We made the jacket as close to the way it looked in the show as possible, whilst using the real world Jackets used by Skate Canada
to fill in gaps where the reference images we had from the show, as the in show Jacket is supposed to be one of the Skate Canada Jackets.
The jacket is constructed from Adidas Tracksuit Material, with some small flatlock stitch details on seams.
We embroidered the details on the breast, back and arms.
The Maple Leaf on the chest and the "RECOM" on the right arm are embroidered directly onto the Jacket, whilst the Cast Wheels on the Left arm and Canada on the back were embroidered separately as patches and then attached to the jacket parts.
All the embroidery details are, I'm fairly certain in saying, 100% accurate to the show, down to the small lettering included under the RECOM logo.
This is the first garment we have made with embroidery, and it only happened due to fantastic timing of us receiving an embroidery machine in the middle of the commission, it was a learning experience for us but we are extremely happy with the result of this commission, and cannot wait to do some more work that includes our new embroidery machine!

Doctor Strange (Chris bachalo style) shirt with belt.
Poly cotton jersey knit with cotton jersey applique (exactly the same materials as my classic Strange)
I went off model to add the cuff buttons, as it seems the type of cuff to be buttoned, even though its not drawn with them.
