Pontypool United RFC

A year on from narrowly missing out on Welsh cup success at the Principality Stadium with United youth Luke Daniel returned to Conway Road as captain for the day for Pontypool RFC as two young teams battled for the Junna cup.
Pontypool took the spoils in a thrilling 36-24 win thus retaining the cup.
A great day for rugby with the youth involved in an epic 24-24 draw against Merthyr earlier in the day and the mini and juniors showing great support all day.
Many thanks to Merthyr and Pontypool RFC for being a big part of a special 80th anniversary weekend.
Thanks to everyone who attended and special thanks to all bar staff and helpers who worked their socks off and for the Pontypool schools lads manning the gate.
All in all a great day for rugby and a truly memorable day for the club.
