💙⚽️ A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO THE BARCLAYS COMMUNITY SPORT FUND! ⚽️💙

We’ve got some exciting news to share from the Goytre Women’s AFC section! 🐐🖤

We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded a grant from the Barclays Community Sport Fund, being delivered in partnership with Sported.

Thanks to this fantastic support, we’ve been able to secure a brand-new kit for the women’s section this season! 👕⚽️

For a grassroots women’s football club, support like this makes a HUGE difference. With players already contributing through subscriptions and fundraising to help cover the ever-increasing costs of running football, having funding available to invest back into the players and provide them with proper teamwear is incredibly important.

A new kit might seem like a small thing, but pulling on that shirt, representing Goytre and feeling part of a team means so much to our players. ❤️

We’re incredibly grateful to Barclays Community Sport Fund and Sported for believing in grassroots sport and helping us make football more accessible and sustainable for our players.

A winning start to the season! 🔥

The Firsts secure all 3 points on the road today with a late winner against Haverfordwest County! 👏

A long trip, an early kick-off and the first game of the season was always going to be a tough test, but the girls showed great patience and determination throughout.

After putting Haverfordwest under plenty of pressure for long periods in the second half, we finally got our reward late on to take all three points home! 💪🔥

Meg was outstanding at the back today. Her hard-hitting tackles were spot on, and she was brilliant in those 1v1 situations, making some really important challenges when we needed them. A huge performance from Meg! 👏🔥

A massive thank you to Haverfordwest County for their hospitality today. ❤️🖤 Credit to them too — they gave us a really tough game and showed plenty of quality. We’re sure they’ll do really well in the Combined this season. 👏

🐐 RESERVES | GROUP STAGE WIN ❤️🖤

A winning start to our group stage! 🔥

The girls came away with a 1–0 win away from home today in our first group-stage game. We grew into the game as it went on and showed real character to keep pushing and then dig deep to protect the lead.

The girls worked hard right until the final whistle and showed great determination to see the game out and get that first win on the board. 💪👏

Chelsea was brilliant in the middle of the park today. She held her position really well, worked hard for the team and her work rate just kept getting better and better as the game went on. A really strong performance! 👏
