Our phones have all switched to French telecom providers and leapt forward an hour 🇫🇷 Huge thanks for all your kind messages and donations, they mean so much ♥️ Whilst it may look like we are really close, the tides mean we still have a good few hours of swimming ahead of us, so stay glued to the tracker 😉

Continuing to work hard. The Turtles are making great progress.... Here's the latest track, and some welcome sun to warm the bodies after an hour in the cold water!

The Turtles are going so well! Latest tracker below, this curve is completely normal, for anyone who's not tracked a swim before, the tide pushes one way, and in a short while it will change and they'll get pushed around a curve towards France! 🇫🇷 Go ladies, you're doing brilliantly!! 🏊🏊♂️🏊♀️🏊

The Turtles are doing really well!! Karen P and Karen C swam in the dark, then back for Liz in again, and then the sun rose while Sarah was in.

First leg done by Liz, and now Sarah's turn, both of them swimming well!

So nearly time for the team to set off.... This is the boat, Viking Princess II, and the last team photos before getting organised and get all this kit onto the boat!
The tracker should start to go live anytime now!!

We're off!
After 5 weeks of on and off, and 5 'ready to go, no go' we're finally off.
So we'll be meeting our pilot at 11.15pm, then starting to swim at around midnight. The weather is looking gorgeous and we're ready to go.
