💙❤️ ​We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we have officially won the Dorset Club of the Year award from the Dorset County Football Association 🛡

🙌 ​Last night, our Chairman (Tim), Vice-Chairman (Jon), Secretary (Jen), and Child Welfare Officer (Mary) attended the ceremony to collect the award on behalf of the entire club 🤩

🤗 ​This award came from being nominated by so many of our amazing members, players, and families. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to put us forward 🌟

​We are incredibly proud of this recognition, but truth be told, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the tireless dedication of everyone who supports us. From our coaches and volunteers to the parents and players 🥰

Our U8 Dragons were invited for a friendly against PMFA this morning and it was a pleasure for them to play against a different opposition who also gave the boys a challenge 🤗

🙌 This was their first experience of 7v7! They performed brilliantly and took the bigger size pitch in their stride!

As usual, the team passed the ball well, pressed throughout the game and showed what a superb team they are 🐉💙❤️

🤝 Huge thanks to PMFA for the opportunity. The Dragons really enjoyed it!

𝗛𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝟭𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘁 Verwood Town YFC 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆! 🌟⚽️

These girls have only been playing football together for a few months and the progress they are making is absolutely incredible 👏 With only 4 friendlies under their belts before today, they went out there and absolutely smashed it 🥳

🔥 ​Won 3 games (scoring 6 goals!)
🤩 ​Lost only 2 games (and both by just a narrow 1-0)
🛡 ​Conceded only 3 goals across all 5 matches!

​Their only losses came against well-established teams that have been playing together for at least a full season 🙌

💙❤️ ​Every single player put in a massive effort and battled so hard today. The future is looking so bright for this team!

🏆 U9 LIONS WIN Dorchester Town Youth FC TOURNAMENT! 🏆

​Huge congratulations to our incredible U9 Lions, who went undefeated today to take home the trophy at the Dorchester tournament! 🦁⚽️

🤩 Every single player gave it their all, showed amazing teamwork, and played some fantastic football!

​A massive thank you to Matt for stepping up and looking after the team today 👏

​

🌧⚽️ U8 Vipers also battled the elements at the Lytchett Matravers Football Club Tournament! 🔴⚪️⚫️

🙌 ​Like everyone else playing tournaments across Dorset today, the boys had to face some extremely wet and miserable weather, but it was a fantastic, well organised event at Lytchett! 🤩

​After narrowly losing their first group game, they knew they had to wake up fast or they’d be heading home for a very early bath... 🛁😬

💪 ​The lads did exactly that. They came back stronger, showed incredible character, and won the next three group games on the bounce to finish second and progress through to the quarter-finals! 📈🔥

🫶 ​Sadly, their run ended there with a tough 1-0 defeat in the quarters. It was a game very much against the run of play, but that’s football—they'll take it on the chin and learn from it.

🏅 Fantastic morning for the U7 Strikers at the Grange Tournament! ⚽️👏

​Yet again for another team, the conditions out there were absolutely abysmal for their tournament participation today, but that didn’t stop the boys from playing some great passing football! 🌧💼

⚽️ ​A really tough opening match leaving Strikers with a tough 2-0 loss.

⚽️ ​Ringwood (2) managed to equalise with the very last kick of the game. 1-1.

⚽️ ​The boys found their shooting boots with two comfortable, dominant wins finishing 4-0 against Ringwood and 5-0 against Highcliffe.

⚽️ ​Strikers matched PSE Cobras every step of the way, ending in a well-deserved 1-1 draw.

⚽️ ​They finished the round-robin strong with a hard-fought 1-0 win against Craig.

​Overall, the Strikers finished in 3rd place! 🥉

🗣 Coach Mike said, "I am superbly proud of how the boys played, worked together, and battled through the weather today."

🏆 Runners-Up for the U11 Ravens! 🥈⚽️

​This morning, the U11 Ravens travelled down to Warsash for their second tournament of the summer!

​The girls played amazing throughout the group stage, finishing right at the top of the table 🔝🔥

​That brilliant run took them straight into the semi-finals against Portchester. It was a tense, nail-biting game that finished 1-1, meaning it had to be decided by the dreaded penalty shootout! Thanks to two incredible, heroic saves from their keeper, the girls booked their place in the final! 🧤🚫⚽️

🙌 ​The final saw them face Hamble—a team they had already beaten in the group stage. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be this time, and they just edged a 1-0 win on the Ravens.

​It’s another tournament where they've reached the final, and for the second time, they've just come up slightly short to finish as proud runners-up 🥈

🏆 Yet more silverware for another one of our Dexters teams 🏆

​Our U9 Panthers took on the Grange Tournament today and walked away as proud Runners-Up! 🥈⚽️

​It was a horribly wet and rainy morning (☂️🌧) but the Panthers didn't let the weather deter them. After some mixed results in the group stage, they dug deep and made it to the semi-finals to face an unbeaten team.

Thanks to a thrilling, last-minute winner, they progressed straight to the final! 💨⚽️

🥈 ​Ultimately, the final result wasn't in their favour against a very strong Ferndown team, finishing as runners-up after a tough 2-0 loss.

​The weather conditions throughout the competition were absolutely horrendous, but the perseverance, hard work, grit, and determination from this team truly paid off. We couldn't be prouder of how they represented the club today! 💪🌧🥳

🏆 U9 FALCONS ARE Dorchester Town Youth FC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

​The U9 Falcons absolutely crushed it today at the Dorchester Town tournament! Competing against tough teams from Bristol, Southampton, and our local rivals, these girls put on an absolute masterclass. ⚽️💥

​🔥 24 goals scored and only 2 conceded!
​🎯 All 8 outfield players found the back of the net!
​🧤 9 clean sheets from Isla in goal!
​💯 The ONLY unbeaten team of the tournament!

​They only went and WON THE WHOLE THING! 🥇🏆

​Incredible teamwork, relentless energy, and smiles all day long. What a team! Up the Falcons!!! 🦅✨

🏆 𝗨𝟴 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗟𝗬𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗧𝗧 𝗧𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦! 🏆🤩

🌧💨 ​The boys conquered today's washout of driving rain and howling winds and made every rainy second worth it! 👏

The team went undefeated all day, scoring a massive 2️⃣5️⃣ goals and only conceding 2️⃣ (1-1 draws) the entire tournament 🥅

​⚽ They finished 2nd in their group by a goal difference of just 1!
​⚡ They performed well in a convincing quarter final win
​🥶 The semi final was a tense rematch against a tough Dorchester side. After another 1-1 deadlock through extra time, it went to penalties. The boys smashed it with 2 clinical finishes from Oliver and Reggie, backed up by a massive save from Olly!

​🏟 After a brilliant "walk on at Wembley" experience in the final, the boys saved their best football for last.

The youth refs were excellent and Chris ran the tournament very well and the trophies were well thought through as well 🤝
