Being an island nation we’re surrounded by water so you’re never far away from a new place to explore. Get in touch with your local SUP Club or SUP School to connect with paddlers in your local area and send us your pictures of where you’ve discovered this year. always wear your buoyancy aid and leash and carry a phone in a waterproof case.

Stay safe if you’re out on the water in this super hot weather 🔥 follow a few simple tips to look after yourself - wear sunscreen, wear a wide sun hat, drink plenty of water, avoid going out in the hottest part of the day, try paddling early in the morning or later in the evening, wear your buoyancy aid and leash, immerse yourself slowly into the water so your body can adjust to the temperature. And remember to look after your gear too, inflatable paddle boards are vulnerable to failure in extreme heat so don’t leave your board out in the sun! Be safe, be sensible and remember if in doubt don’t go out 😎

Summer is here! What's on your bucket list this year? Why not make 2026 the year you fall in love with paddle boarding! There's a wonderfully supportive community of passionate paddlers across the UK with clubs, schools and groups in every corner of the country regularly getting out on the water together. If you have never paddled before, find your nearest BSUPA recognised school and book yourself a lesson with an experienced SUP instructor and get on board!

Look after yourselves whilst out on the water ❤️ follow these simple safety tips to keep you and your family dafe when you go out paddle boarding this summer. Always wear a buoyancy aid and an appropriate leash, check the weather and tides and avoid offshore winds, carry a phone in a waterproof case, paddle with friends and dress for the conditions. Water can still be cold in the summer so you might need to wear a wetsuit.
